Mental health is crucial to an individual’s overall health. Unfortunately, health insurance doesn’t always cover mental health services and, if it does, it either restricts access to care by limiting the number of covered visits or by slapping on excessive co-payments. In response to the growing need of mental health services and in an effort to address the shortfalls of insurance coverage for mental health, Direct Primary Care offers cash-pay counseling services at rates that are 50% less than typical insurance-billed pricing!

I offer counseling services to individuals, couples and families. I have training in Gottman Couples Therapy and Emotionally Focused Therapy. Research shows these are the most successful therapies for couples. Emotionally Focused Therapy helps to build a secure bond. From this foundation most couples are able to solve any of their problems without further treatment. Gottman tools are extremely helpful once this foundation is laid and for specific issues.
Sometimes life can feel like a rollercoaster that we somehow can’t seem to exit, don’t know how we got on it in the first place, and are then having to white knuckle it as best as possible. That is why I went into this field to not only learn tools to help others work through challenges, but also provide a space to feel safe, seen, and fully understood without judgement. A space to learn, gain deeper insight, and grow into your most authentic self. In my work specializing in couples counseling, lifespan integration, and emotion focused therapy, I have helped people with a wide range of obstacles to overcome. I am passionately committed to helping my clients realize their full individual potential, and I will tailor our sessions to your unique needs. Whether you're dealing with anxiety, relationship challenges, or trauma, it is important that you know that there is hope for a better tomorrow. Together, we will work to leave behind the struggles you face today, and equip you with the tools to move onward to a future of happiness and success.
I love connecting with people, helping them gain deeper insight about themselves, and ultimately grow in the people they want to be. It's the light bulb moments when clients integrate truths they've known logically, but have struggled with in the past emotionally believing. Where their shame sheds and their authenticity shines.
During the height of the pandemic, I was working for a non-profit. I found myself connecting people to outside, limited mental health resources because of the limitations of my role. I found myself getting frustrated and decided I no longer wanted to be the middle man and be a direct lifeline for those struggling.
There are two main factors for positive change outside of therapy. The first being the stressor no longer present (got out of a stressful job, moved, etc.). The second is the therapeutic relationship. I'm not a one size fits all kind of therapist, nor do I try to be. This is why I offer a free consultation to see if I'm the right fit for your needs.
I can provide therapy online to residents in WA state. I have a HIPAA compliant service that I provide clients a link to use.
