I work with couples, families and individuals. I believe that everyone that comes to therapy is unique and brings in different strengths, goals, and perspectives. I do not believe in a "one size fits all" approach, but rather tailor my approach to each client. I meet each person with empathy, acceptance and directness. I believe in being an active participant in the therapy process and will strive to understand you, but also find it important to be honest and challenge you when appropriate.

For over 40yrs, I have been a professional working actor. For 20yrs, I ran an acting workshop at The 29th Street Repertory Theater in NYC. My primary task as a relationship therapist is to help couples refind empathy for each other. This is achieved through ensuring that you’re able to talk without attacking and listen without becoming defensive. I am Imago Certified. My primary objective as a therapist for individuals is to ensure that you refind empathy for yourself. The broad goal of all therapy, I believe, is to eradicate feelings of shame and to promote deeper understanding of ourselves and others.

I am a student intern in marriage and family therapy. As an intern (for a limited time), I am offering full couples therapy services at a nominal cost ($30 per session). Before becoming a therapist I practiced as a dual-certified transformational coach (from the licensed and accredited Institute of Transformational Nutrition). I ran a coaching business helping clients learn and apply somatic mind-body techniques toward core paradigm shifts and insights, and I am a seasoned coach in this capacity.

When I look at what I have to offer as a psychotherapist and life coach, several things come to mind, the most important one being that I offer a warmth and empathy that will not only make you, the client, feel seen, heard and understood, but will also increase our ability for getting your goals achieved. I foster a safe and supportive, nonjudgmental space for you to explore your thoughts, feelings and experiences.

Firstly, I would give Megan 5 stars. From the moment I stepped into my first session with Megan, I felt at ease. She creates such a trusting and comfortable space where I felt safe, validated and empowered. She challenged me clinically in all the right ways - pushing me - but never too far. She would engage with me conversationally which I like because I never want to be the only one talking. Yet I was constantly amazed at how her words resonated with me. I've had therapists who make you want to say "You don't know me" and it was never that way with Megan. She is both LGBTQ affirmative and supportive, so I never felt worried about being judged or that I couldn't be myself. I worked with Megan for 9 months, and I felt like we really made progress, but more importantly she helped me better understand and utilize the tools to do the work outside of therapy. Megan has the most generous and kind spirit. I would 100% recommend her to anyone seeking therapy.
