He continually pushes me to be better and it pays off every single workout. We do rope climbs, monkey bars, pipes, spear throws... he has so many cool things to play with - things you won’t find at any other gym. This is Exactly where you need to be if you do any obstacle course races or mud runs. Or just love to challenge yourself. It is my favorite workout every week.

My wife and I have worked out at a number of Cross-Fit style gyms, and Slate is by far the best. The staff is knowledgeable and informed, the equipment is state of the art, and the facility itself is the best I've encountered. This is a superb workout space with ample room for large groups to workout together without feeling cramped or competing for equipment. The training staff is both willing and able to tailor the workouts to the strengths and weaknesses of their clients in a way that brings quick and lasting improvements in both strength and technique. I've been involved with COGA for a few years now, and Im completely loyal to the place. Prior to training here, I had some wonderful training experiences at C3, ISMMA, MKG, and other gyms. The difference here is the community-centric sort of atmosphere. Everyone seems to be really close knit (which probably stems from Head Coach "Bazooka" Joe being a family man), and it just makes for a great environment to train and have fun.Features:-2 separate training floors-Tons of full length heavy bags for Kickboxing/boxing-Great coaching staff representing a variety of styles-Variety in experience of the students. If you are a pro fighter or a first-timer, you wont feel out of place here.-Very cool logo/branded merchandise-Inexpensive compared to many other MMA gymsThe guys here are always welcoming. Even if you are just looking for a fun way to get in shape where you progressive can see yourself getting better at something, this is the place to be. The school is always welcoming. Power Body is simply one of the best gyms in Seattle. I have been seeing Nikolai for one-on-one personal training sessions for over two years and in that time my strength has increased, I have more stamina for cardiovascular exercise, and my overall health and well-being has improved tremendously. His personal training sessions are super effective and I would recommend Power Body to anyone interested in getting a great workout. One of the things I appreciate most about Nikolai's approach is that he's quite patient and clear. I don't have much natural body awareness and I tend to do exercises in all the wrong ways but, thankfully, Nikolai is great at showing me how to move properly and he is incredibly patient with me when it takes some time to get the exercises down right. Additionally, he's very accommodating and willing to modify exercises to account for old injuries. I have noticed that I'm much more toned than ever before I doubt that I could have ever gotten to this place without his guidance and support. I had a number of trainers before I found Nikolai and my sessions with them were nowhere near as effective, motivating, or fun. Nikolai is an amazing trainer and I recommend him and Power Body to anyone that wants to take charge of their health. Give him a try - you won't be disappointed!
