Great place. They seem to trust people more and are less rigid in what they teach. The BJJ folks are great teachers as they stop and tell you what you're doing wrong and what you can do better. If you don't know what to do in a certain position, just ask and they'll tell you. They have two long kickboxing bags that are well worn in and won't break your hands or feet. They also have a water bag and all means of pads and sparring equipment. When I was there, they had fights on TV which is a great way to pump people up, so that's a huge plus.

I am brand new to CrossFit and was immediately sold when I first walked into Pilchuck CrossFit. Spencer Hunsinger, the owner, immediately welcomed me with warm hospitality and displayed a wide range of knowledge about the sport. I had just come off of a knee injury and Spencer knew exactly how to scale each workout for me, he was sensitive to my lack of mobility in other areas and has spent an abundance of time making sure that I am fully prepared for each and every workout that I've attempted. After about two months of consistent attendance I have seen incredible increases in strength, agility, mobility, and confidence in my own personal ability to complete each WOD (workout of the day) which I attribute to Spencer's excellent coaching and instruction. In addition to a great coach, Pilchuck CrossFit has a great team atmosphere. Everyone is so encouraging and motivating, willing to let anyone pick their brain for tips and instruction as to how to better their CrossFit experience. Needless to say, I will be CrossFitting at this gym for many years to come and I am very much looking forward to growing in knowledge and efficiency with an excellent coach like Spencer Hunsinger.
