Check out some of my reviews!! I am a University of Utah Graduate and have lived here for several years. I have been doing this for a long time and feel comfortable training for any sport. I have helped several Division 1 and 2 players reach their full potential including some individual professional baseball players. I was a 3-year varsity basketball player and had the opportunity to play college basketball out of high school.

Will is an awesome personal trainer! Before I started training with him, I was limited in both knowledge and skill with weights. With his help, my routines were diversified and fleshed out. He also corrected my technique, reducing my risk of injury. As a result, I increased in strength and endurance. Before I knew it I was doing exercises that I never dreamed of doing, such as pull-ups with weights chained to me. I definitely recommend his expertise to anyone!

Training with Camilo has helped me correct my form, understand my movement and recognize what my body is capable of achieving! He uses a variety of methods to keep the workouts challenging and new. Besides becoming stronger, I’ve noticed a mental awareness that comes with learning to connect your mind to your body. Plus, it is a whole lot of fun! Thanks Camilo!

Plus Movimiento is an incredible place to feel centered, get a Pilates work out that'll leave you wanting more, and an instructor, Camilo, that knows proper form for the reformer so that injuries do not ensue. I absolutely adore this little gem found in the basement of the Foothill Plaza. Oh, and classes are tiny, which makes a pilates class feel more intimate and as though you are nearly getting a private session. I am thrilled I found Camilo's Studio.

My name is Abby and I was a collegiate athlete in Water Polo and Swimming at the University of Utah. I have coached multiple sports including swimming, water polo and track from ages of middle school up to high school teams. I am certified not only as a personal trainer but also as a nutrition coach, women's fitness and a boxing instructor at a local women's gym. I strive to give clients the best results in the healthiest way that uplifts them and makes them feel good every step of the way.
In life, there are several reasons why we choose “to go” or “not to go” for things we want in life. Whether there are challenges like finances, physical and mental hardships, or worrying about whether the time is right, whether we are prepared, or whether things will work. WHETHER WE CAN ACHIEVE. Sometimes we need a push, assistance, a reference point, or some motivation to at least move in the direction we want. Pursuits & Playlists (P&P) is a project that is PASSIONATELY FOCUSED on assisting everyday people with moving towards pursuing what they want. This is achieved through: "Creating plans specific to a person's goals and using physical and mental training, music and a little laughter as mediums to help people accomplish goals and pursuits within their life." That's my business's slogan and I’m passionate about spending time to learn about people, meeting them where they are, providing plans specific to their needs, and being with them the whole way. I am professionally trained, experienced, and skilled at helping others with personal, life, and fitness goal. So let’s begin!
When meeting a new individual to work with, the first thing that I like to do is sit down in person, or over the phone, and spend time getting to know them, their interests, goals, routine and challenges. Once complete, I create an individualized plan for them. Depending on what their preference is I will meet in person, call regularly, and provide company and support on their journey. Ideally, when meeting in person I like to either provide instruction and various forms of support or jump in and exercise with the client.
There is no secret, but there are two things that I feel are important: Consistency and grace.
To achieve results, a consistent effort must be made (foundation must be first established) over a period of time to create a habit. And habits lead to long-term change. Consistency looks different for each person and situation, but you'd be surprised how small changes maintained over time will produce results!
With that said, there needs grace. The ability to give yourself space to not be perfect. If you miss a day of exercising or don't eat well, that is okay. It's called being human.
The people. I love seeing others succeed, work through ups and downs, and grow in the process towards what they want. I enjoy the humanity of it all, the vulnerability that comes from someone entrusting me to help them. I love helping to show people what they are capable of and rooting for them.
I decided to start this project, after realizing how hard it was for me to find help and guidance in going after the things I've wanted to in the past. I failed, succeeded, and learned from my pursuits and realized that there are many others who face the challenge I once did. And so through professional training and love fitness, mentoring, and goal achievement, I decided to marry these interests with genuinely helping.
I would love for clients to consider me because I will be invested in the goals, and would love to be their support and guiding system. Whether this means running with them, working late to develop goals, or laughing in the midst of a challenging exercise or moment, I embrace and take pride in seeing each person succeed.
Yes! I believe that training can be just as effective in-person as well as remote. As COVID quarantine has taught us, location shouldn't be the limiting factor, and creativity is required! Training will look different remote, but I've had good success in helping others achieve goals, regardless of location.
During introductory calls with clients, I ask questions related to COVID-19, which include comfortability and preference of meeting in person, or whether training needs to be remote. I am fully vaccinated (I also work in healthcare), and take the necessary measures to protect my clients and their health.
