It all begins with a free initial consultation. I meet with clients so we can determine what the best fit is for their needs. Before any workout is ever done, each client goes through a thorough and extensive assessment whereby muscular imbalances, improper movement patterns, range of motion limitations, and coordination and balance issues are identified and addressed.

Knowing your goals, addressing any underlying impediments to those goals, and identifying and path forward to success.

What do you love most about your job?

I really enjoy seeing where people are at when they begin, and then their progress as they move forward with their training. Many people are surprised at what can be achieved when the proper exercise methods are implemented.

What inspired you to start your own business?

I have been working as Certified Personal Trainer for over 15 years. When Covid 19 hit, and many gyms shut down, it reinforced an idea that had been on my mind for many years. I had noticed over the years that many of my clients seemed to like a private environment versus one where there were many people, distractions, and eventually even a highly transmittable virus. Elevation Functional Fitness was born out of the desire to create a private training experience with state of the art equipment, in a convenient location.

There are many options for people to choose from when it comes to personal training. It's important for people to take the time to look into a potential trainers education and credentials, experience, and overall training philosophy. Not all personal trainers are equally qualified. Additionally, a trainer who is great with athletes may not be the best choice for someone with unique needs or challenges, and vice versa. I have two nationally accredited personal training certifications. I'm also a Corrective Exercise Specialist through the National Academy of Sports Science, and I am listed on the U.S. Registry of Exercise Professionals. Additionally, I have been working as a Certified Personal Trainer for over 15 years. My background well exceeds that of the average personal trainer.

What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?

Elevation Functional Fitness was designed with clients safety in mind. The studio is a private, one-on-one environment. Therefore, you will not be training around numerous other individuals that could potentially put you at risk. Additonally, the training studio has numerous windows allowing for constant air circulation. Fans are positioned to pull air out of the facility at a rate of several hundred cubit feet per minute. Air purifiers with UV lighting are also present in the studio to further purify the air and help reduce the presence of airborne pathogens.
