Started my 15 yr old son about a month ago with Gary and it’s been a HOMERUN!!! Gary’s knowledge and attitude are incredible and he really pushes my son to the next level. In one month there is a difference in his look and healthy eating ways. Best part with Gary is his safety with the workouts and training. It’s easy to see he cares for his clients.

Today was a great day!!!! My friends and I came to Skiba’s Gym from Staten Island. Unfortunately when we got there it was closed, so we called the number that was on the building. Soon later Henri Skiba come and opens his gym for us. I can’t tell you the excitement and honor it was to meet such a great man. He came into the gym with us and talking to us about all this awesome information he gave us. He ends up spotting me on bench and fixed my bench within two seconds of meeting him. Henri is the most humble, unique and inspirational person I ever met in my life. If your a powerlifter come to this gym, you will not be disappointed. Thank you Henri for all you did for us!

I feel as if this Crunch and I have come full circle over the last 15+ years. This was the first gym I started going to on a regular basis, when I was a lazy, out-of-shape slob, and this was a dingy, poorly-designed gym with old equipment and a dirty locker room. Fast forward 15 years, and after myriad moves and other gyms (Crunch and otherwise), I find myself again working nearby and have begun going here again. Â I was a bit reluctant to come back, but now, with modern equipment and newer locker rooms, it's like a whole new gym. Meanwhile, I'm... slightly less of a lazy, out-of-shape slob than I was back then!It still has an odd layout for a gym, with certain areas feeling spacious and others cramped. Â But the addition of more open workout space--and the corresponding new equipment--is definitely welcome. Â Locker room (men's) is nice, though the showers could still use an update (and more frequent cleaning). As I often find to be the case with Crunch, the classes are really the highlight. Â Siu P's Boxing class is an exceptional workout, as is Eric's TRX Class (off the schedule for now--I hope that is a temporary summer schedule adjustment). Actually, the spin classes are a bit hit-and-miss--they could use a standout spin class now that Reign has left. Â Still, I was reluctant to return here, but am mostly pleasantly surprised with the revamped Crunch 38th.
