I recently participated in complete fitness results twenty pounds in 6 weeks challenge. At my final weigh in I was twenty-two pounds less than where I was day one. I was able to learn a good number of valuable lessons that I can take with me for the rest of my life. It all started in 2009 when Coach Jay went through a complete body transformation. He was 30 pounds overweight and it effected every area of his life: Low self esteem, lack of confidence, struggled physically, and was not his best self because of the compounding effect of being out of shape.
It wasn't until he was hiking on the Lost Coast in Northern California when he had a complete breakdown. It took being stuck in the wilderness, tired, body hurting, and at his breaking point, that the shift happened. At that moment he decided that he was going to do whatever it took to be in the best shape possible.He DID NOT ever want to feel helpless in his own body again. Once he got home, he joined a CrossFit gym and a boxing gym and started to shed the pounds and gain strength and muscle. This experience turned his life around completely and from the point on he got his education in personal training and fitness nutrition. It was in 2017 when he moved to Saint Louis that he decide to "Give the Gift" back to his new community and took a leap of faith and opened Glove Up Fitness in 2019.
