‘19 Certificate of Excellence

I help my clients feel great and look it too. I specialize in weight loss, pain reduction, and improving your fitness and nutrition. Individualized programming (even with group settings) will make sure your needs are heard and met. I go through a thorough assessment and consultation to make sure I understand exactly what you want, need, and where you are coming from. I provide automated nutrition coaching (Precision Nutrition Certified) to help with your physique and nutrition goals if you want to lose weight, gain some muscle, or tone up. That's why I offer a free consultation and assessment. Ever had any hip, back, neck, shoulder, or knee irritation or pain? If so, you've found the right trainer. I use the Functional Movement Screen (FMS), Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA), Postural Restoration Institute (PRI), and Movement Systems Impairment Syndromes (MSIS) methodologies. My job is to understand you and that's what I will do if we train together. I invite you to come on in for a free consultation and assessment. Let's get started on your goals!

How do you help your clients achieve their fitness goals?

We'll talk about what exactly you need to do to achieve your goals. This means, we need to come up with a plan which is realistic for you. Second, we need to choose exercises (which are based on the assessment) which you can do well. The last part of the initial plan is taking some baseline measurement like weight, potential girth measurements, circumference measurements, and pictures. It's sometimes a little scary, but it'll be hugely motivating later once you see the difference.

Periodically, we'll assess your progress to make sure you are moving towards your goals. We'll change the exercise programs anyways to make things interesting, and to challenge you. If you can only workout at home, or travel for work, or whatever, we can make it work.

Once you reach your goals, it's time to celebrate!

What’s the secret to getting the body of your dreams?

The secret is getting help when you hit a plateau, tracking your progress (so you know if you are plateauing or not), and working patiently. You won't get the body of your dreams quickly. Otherwise, you likely already would have accomplished it. We'll make changes to your program when their needed and insure we are hitting your short term goals (which come from your long term goals).

Basically, I fill in the gaps at times when you feel no motivation, don't know what to do, and have a plateau.

What do you love most about your job?

I love seeing progress! I like knowing my client's goals and what's important to them.

I had a client who came in with two back surgeries, carried more weight than she liked, and was feeling sluggish. In exactly 6 months, Cara lost 45 pounds, had more energy, looked great, and was feeling good in the back area.

The cool thing is that Cara simply followed the plan and trained consistently. Simple training and nutrition work equals powerful results. I just find it fun when people are progressing and hitting their goals!

What inspired you to start your own business?

I wanted to provide a level of care which I couldn't offer working in larger commercial gyms. I began to work on both training and nutrition. I also began to focus on bridging the gap between rehabilitation and fitness for those clients that needed it.

Why should our clients choose you?

I'm very easy to get along and I keep your goals in mind in everything that we're doing. I track your progress, and make sure you are moving toward your goals. Plus, I'm fun to work with. I'll often have friendly competitions and I keep track of your own personal records which we'll try to beat. Getting the body of your dreams doesn't have to be daunting boring work! It should be fun, and you should enjoy your body!
