Helen is amazing! She created a TRX workout plan for me, and a plan for how to approach my nutrition. I've struggled a lot in the past with yo-yo diet and fitness plans. With me she took a very intelligent and gradual approach, with a focus on lifetsyle changes resultng in lifelong results. After receiving her direction I really have become a fan of this approach. She is excellent, and really does tailor her approach to each individual client. Can't recommend enough!

About 4 months ago I was introduced to Tim the owner at Spartan Training. I began training with him and since have lost 58lbs. I see Tim 3 times a week and feel great. He has me on a strict diet and I am on my way to becoming in the best shape of my life. During his training he is fully concentrated on how you work out and strategically concentrating on each particular muscle at stake. I would highly recommend Tim and his health expertise. He will make sure you get in shape and most importantly stay healthy.

This gym, is the best basement gym I've ever seen.the staff is really great, the equipment is awesome, and there is a better selection at this little basement gym then there is at my current "health/tennis" club.Thelimiting factor of course, is that it's a basement gym the ceilings aren't high enough to do some of the more gymnastics oriented stuff, but for just working out it is the best gym in South suburban. Also, in terms of price and service they beat everyone.
I'm new to Bark, so please check my photos for reviews which reflect my services from Thumbtack (another app similar to this) Services I offer: Personal Training Massage Therapy (Licensed) Online Coaching Nutrition and Meal Guidance (Bachelor's Degree in Food & Nutrition) My goal for when we work together is to improve your nutrition, fitness, lifestyle habits, and ultimately health. Everything in our program is tailored towards you: this is not a one-size fit all program. Your goals, metabolism, body-structure, health history, and time constraints are only some examples of things that separate you from others. Why would you train like everyone else when you have different obstacles and you're unique? You simply, will not. My personal training session is a hybrid of a training session with a massage service. I would love to have an opportunity to show you how massage therapy can help reduce or eliminate pain produced by movement. Of course, this depends on the source of the pain, but I've helped many clients in the past with pain related to their musculature producing faulty movement patterns.
We will gather information that will determine where you are currently. And regardless of what state of health, phase of your personal fitness development, or obstacles you are dealing with; the resources I supply you will help you overcome your challenges. As you experience my services we will form habits in these key areas of your life: diet, rest, exercise, stress reduction, and supplementation (if necessary).
We will create you a fitness program that is unique to you. As I learn about the obstacles you encounter, I will share with you increasing amounts of resources that will help you attain your goals. I encourage you to utilize all the resources I provide you. The tools are here for you, and if you have any questions, you should always reach out because I'm here to help you.
Commitment and consistency to a professionally made program is the greatest indicator of success. I help remove all the guess work, but action (and inaction for bad habits) is the only barrier to success. I will not try and fit a square peg into a circle. If the life you do not envision yourself living requires you (this is a example) to sacrifice time with friends to do cardio, I will not force you. We will find ways to increase your health and fitness, but we will work together to find a program that you can adhere to. All along the way I will be honest about the results of the road you're taking and maintaining communication on what your goal is as it changes.
Helping my clients achieve the satisfaction of reduced pain. I do enjoy helping clients achieve their health & fitness goals, but the majority of my clientele come to me with pain related to movement on top of their goal of losing weight or body recomposition. For the majority of them (where it's related to their musculature), I can help reduce the pain with my massage therapy license in conjunction with my personal training services. It's satisfying to help someone who've been in pain for over a decade with their chronic lower back pain (this is a true story, but not a guarantee; everyone's situation & reason for their pain is different).
Working on my own I am better able to increase my quality of service without having the big box gym taking all my profit. This is the reality. I used to work for Equinox, but they took a percentage too large to allow me to focus on my services, but rather I was focusing on training more to survive. On my own, I can earn more, charge less, and provide better service. It's a win for everyone, and this is the way it should be! P.S. Even if you don't choose to work with me & you're reading this; choose independent businesses / workers! :)
I develop close relationships with my clients and care for them as if they're my friend. I've been invited to numerous weddings where my clients were getting married. Two of my groomsmen in my personal wedding were initially clients. Developing this type of relationship with my clients help motivate me to provide the best service possible. This level of service I can imagine is very different than just considering a client another customer.
I offer a discount for remote services compared to in-person sessions. I feel like online training is not the best service I can offer (again, I provide massage therapy through physical contact during my training sessions). I can try imitate and teach you how to perform these techniques on yourself, but it will not save as much time and be as effective as if I'm there.
If I come to you; I have a bottle of hand sanitizer everywhere I go. I wear my mask during our session and make sure to wipe down the equipment before and after use.
At my physical location, I do everything above. I also sanitize the gym with a cleaning/disinfectant solution.
