So tonight I took my first HIIT class! Oh man, let me tell you! Haha! I was so nervous, I didn’t know anyone else in the class and have never done this kind of workout. Mind you, I worked out for 45 mins before the class to kill time. Let me just tell you this was one of the best experiences of my life! The women that leads the class is a Patriots Cheerleader and she is so inspirational! She was so excited that I was joining her class and made sure to introduce herself to me. Now clearly I’m not in the best of shape, so throughout the class I had to modify a few things, but the whole time she encouraged me and made me push myself. Everyone in the class was so supportive and the little breaks you get in between, they were all giving me thumbs up..which made me want to keep going. A few times I wanted to pack up my mat and leave, but didn’t. I’ve never felt more comfortable in a room full of strangers doing an intense workout that wasn’t the easiest for me, as I did tonight. I am so proud of myself for not giving up and pushing myself to the extreme. After the class I thanked Khamare for making me feel so comfortable and for pushing me. She was so appreciative and thanked me for joining her class. Now, I may not be able to move for the next week but I feel fantastic!!! I’m looking forward to next weeks class!
