Matt's workout programming is truly incredible! All of the workouts are custom-tailored to me specifically. During the early part of the pandemic when the gyms were closed, Matt programmed all of my at-home workouts, and I was amazed with what he could do with minimal equipment. One thing that really makes Matt stand out is his creativity and ability to think outside of the box. He has used hundreds of different movements (some of which I had never even heard of) in my workouts. His workouts are never boring; they are always interesting, challenging and fun! I come away energized after doing Matt's workouts!
Since working with Matt, I have gotten stronger and leaner. We worked on handstand push-ups and running during the past year and half, and due to Matt's outstanding programming, I improved more than I thought possible on both.
Most important of all, Matt is a phenomenal person! He cares deeply about all of his athletes, and is thrilled to see them accomplish their goals. He puts their safety first, and focuses on good form above all. He is always excited to see how I do on a workout, and I can't wait to tell Matt how I did (particularly if it is good). Both her one-on-one personal training, which includes weight lifting, boxing, and cardio circuit, plus her Boxing Bootcamp class are top notch for my fitness needs. So I have been a member of BHAC for about a year now. The gym meets the needs of city folk. You can get in there and get a quick workout before work or hit it after hours. The community of members and staff creates a family like environment.I have also been using Jay as a personal trainer. All I have to say is he knows his stuff and can create custom trainings to meet your fitness level. His flexibility when it comes to scheduling is outstanding. I travel for work here and there so he will change up times for me and even give me little workouts I can take on the road. I highly recommend this place for someone who works a lot, but also need their gym time quick and easy.

It's incredibly easy to become certified as a personal trainer. You can get certified in a couple of hours on the internet without ever leaving your home. What sets one trainer apart from another is credibility. Just as you wouldn't take financial advice from someone who just filed for bankruptcy, nor should you accept fitness guidance from the shockingly large number of trainers who are overweight or hypocritical when it comes to how they eat. I walk the walk. I've been at this for 12+ years and most of what I've learned came not from memorizing textbook theories but from the application of that knowledge having worked with the full gamut of clientele: athletes, bodybuilders, law enforcement and military personnel, and the average Joe/Jane. Unlike most trainers, I have a background in nutrition. Mark my words: you WILL NOT achieve optimal results without the right diet. This goes far beyond downing a protein shake after the workout ends. I include meal planning in my rate.
