I LOVE FT!!!! I came in after a year or so of working in neonatal intensive care as a nurse. I always knew as a nurse I should be in shape, but had not idea home to eat well and exercise in a career where going to the restroom is a luxury! Chauncey McGee is a lifesaver because he actually took the time to learn what my life was like day to day and create a plan that worked. I not only went from 200 lbs to 145 and size 16 to 6-8, but I gained my life back! Since then, I have run several full marathons and learned to LOVE working out. It took sacrifice, patience and tough love, but with FT, anyone can really have the health that they want (I say health, because that is way more important than a size or a number). I feel better, have more energy, and do my job better because of Chauncey and FT. I just moved so am in mourning over having to leave, but Chauncey is so dedicated that he is helping me from afar. GREAT PEOPLE WHO REALLY CARE! Only slight downside is the price, but they have small group training that is more affordable and who would not pay whatever they can to have their life back anyway?

I enjoyed this book. It blends together all of the important aspects of a healthy fitness program and makes it easy by organizing everything in this book. It has meal prep suggestions, client success stories, and talks about how to stay motivated, and exercise quantity and frequency suggestions. Some information I didn't know was that eating fruit, which I had always heard was a very healthy source of dietary sugar, causes a large increase in blood sugar and shouldn't be consumed without a full serving of protein to prevent large spikes. Cathryn Marshall has a unique approach to motivating her clients and has only 2 Rules: Rule #1 is that "there is nothing you have to do!", which puts the responsibility of following their goals on the client and gives them a powerful sense of accomplishment when they follow through with their plan. Rule #2 is "Everything you think and say is having an effect" which essentially means if you have a positive outlook, then you will have positive results. Anyway , highly recommend this book because it's easy to read, informative but not too wordy, and lots of people say it works, but you be the judge.

Iron tribe is such a great community to workout in. I have tried pretty much any bandwagon workout and this has been the best results and the best time doing it! The coaches push me harder and create such a wonderful sense of accountability. The workouts are very challenging but with everyone around you pushing and encouraging each other it makes it a very rewarding experience!

The Training Grounds Alpharetta is the newest and best fitness venue in Alpharetta. THIS is where you should be training! You won't find a better place to work out. The staff is extremely knowledgeable, very helpful, always positive and totally encouraging. I've been working out here for 6 months and I can see and feel the difference it's made. No matter how big, or how small the fitness goal I take them all personally. I would never take on a client I know I couldn't help. Everyone has different goals, and more commonly we all have 3 or 4 goals in mind. Common example: Lose weight and tone.
In this situation, we would focus on losing weight on one end of the spectrum. We would attack this side with Interval training in 3 different heart rate zones (scientifically proven to burn more fat) as well as tweaking macros and calories to ensure we are in a caloric deficit. While bringing in the interval training we focus on compound movements with the muscle groups we are most interested in toning. So, in essence, we are attacking at both ends, in hopes to meet in the middle.... the goal.
Work, motivation, dedication, and knowledge. Ferris Fitness brings the knowledge and shortcuts backed by science to keep exercise as efficient as possible. However, if you do not have the work ethic, the motivation, or the drive to see it through, there is nothing we can do. I do everything in my power to keep my clients motivated with challenges, incentives, and more, but it just truly comes down to if you want it or not.
I love hearing everyone's stories. We all have a story and through several steps, we have been brought together. I make it a priority to learn as much about my clients as possible and make Ferris Fitness a community. We just had our First Holiday Party in December, with many more parties to come. I am happy to say that I am friends with a lot of my clients, as well as being their trainers.

I worked for Marriott for 10 years. Towards my last year at Marriott, I was really getting into fitness and decided to go to the National Academy of Sports Medicine to become a Certified Personal Trainer. I passed my exam on December, 20th 2019 (Which was my birthday). A couple of months later COVID hit, and I got laid off from Marriott. I was heartbroken and didn't know where to turn. I filled myself with busy work and went back to get my Corrective Exercise Specialization. I picked up a couple of clients but still was not actively pursuing a career in the fitness industry. I then decided that this all happened for a reason, and I launched Ferris Fitness in January 2021 and haven't looked back.

With all of Ferris Fitness In-Person training, I take every precaution possible to ensure the cleanliness of my facility. I sanitize equipment between every session, and also as we use it. I do not mandate masks, but I will wear my mask as requested. I also allow times for multiple breaks to step outside and get some fresh air.
I am extremely easy to work with and will do everything in my power to accommodate any in-person client.
