If the fact that *I* have been going to Prime 8 three times a week for just under TWO YEARS doesn't tell you something, you either don't know me or nothing will. Never in my life, I'm 53 years old (don't tell anyone), have I ever gone longer than 6 months to ANY gym. Other gyms are SO BORING AND MONOTONOUS. Prime 8 is small, has all the equipment needed and also provides a 30 minute "CHIMP" workout (along with more traditional classes, boot camps and personal training) that is effective and most importantly, fun. I can't say enough about the trainer, Parrish McGrade. Such a great guy. I started about 40 pounds heavier and he never made me feel out of place - and trust me, I couldn't do much of what others could do in the beginning. He tailored every workout to my abilities, still does, and I have had such a sense of accomplishment. You owe it to yourself to try one more gym. You will love it, especially the sense of friendship and support from everyone who goes there. Prime 8 gets results where other gyms just get boring.

Back in the 80’s when I was in college I thought to myself, wouldn’t it be neat to have a place where people could go to workout and learn how to exercise properly using a certified trainer who would design a customized exercise plan for them based on their age, goals and abilities and working around any limitations they may have before they spend the money on a typical gym membership, which generally just grants access to the facility and use of the equipment. Having a place where each individual would be evaluated before starting an exercise program with a Functional Movement Screen (FMS) to see how efficiently they can move, they would be provided with nutritional guidance and given a nutrition plan to teach them how to eat properly to achieve and maintain a healthy body weight and the trainer would provide the accountability and motivation needed to help them succeed. To me, this model made more sense than the typical gym model where again, for a minimal fee you could buy a gym membership which would allow you access to the gym so you could use the equipment and that’s it. Unfortunately, most people don’t really have an idea of how they should be training and many lack the motivation to continue to get results and thus become less motivated to exercise and attendance tends to decline dramatically. After all, it wouldn’t make sense to rent a car if you did not know how to drive. Thus, Training4Fitness was born. Let us provide the driving lessons.
