This post is long overdue, and I am not just posting it for tchotkes. I started going to W1NNERS Fitness about three months ago after recovery from a ruptured Achilles. My goals were to improve my balance, flexibility and stability and to strengthen my muscles. Â My body was all out of alignment due to being non-weight-bearing on 1 foot for several weeks, and my legs and feet were very swollen. In addition I had virtually no stamina. Enter: David. He made me feel comfortable right away (but not too comfortable; he is very straightforward.) He is a pro at assessing which of your muscles are contracting effectively and which are not. In a few short weeks I was able to do some things that I hadn't done in months. He varies what you do each and every session. Â David explains things very well so that you understand exactly how to contract your muscles for maximum effectiveness. One size does not fit all, and he customizes everything to the individual. Unlike conventional trainers, he focuses on the quality of the contractions versus mindless reps. I have to say that joining this gym has been the highlight of my year so far. I struggle w/ a shoulder impingement and an SI joint (lower back) strain. Since joining this gym, I've noticed significant improvement in my lower back and shoulder. I no longer wake up in the middle of the night with shoulder pain. The gym's focus on core strengthening and total body workouts have really paid off. Beyond all that, each workout is different, fun and challenging. The camaraderie with other participants really pushes you to get the best workout possible; the trainers are amazing. I can't go back to the traditional gym grind. This is fun!

This is where discipline comes into play to keep your eye on the prize even in the moments you don't want to.
I believe as a trainer, the answer is always seeing my clients reach their goals. There really is no better feeling. Your goals are my goals, so when my clients succeed, I get the same feeling as if I had reached a new milestone in my own journey.
I felt that the corporate gym world wasn't allowing trainers to work at maximum efficiency. It was almost like working in a factory where the product was the clients. See a client, do what you can in a short period of time, and then onto the next one. I did the best I could to maximize efficiency in the corporate gym world, but since breaking off on my own it feels like I've taken the ankle weights off and am able to work more freely and efficiently with my clients and the results my clients have made speaks for just how different the two atmospheres are.
I would be nowhere if it wasn't for the passion I found for the gym. There was basically no other option for me. Every other career path I considered following felt dull and unfulfilling. Spreading my love for the gym and the fitness lifestyle is the most fulfilling occupation I could ever ask for and I'm blessed to be apart of this industry. I'm 23 years young, hungry, and passionate about what I do!

This comes with a fully customized workout program for you goals, a nutrition plan including caloric intake and proper macro nutrition, weekly consultations to discuss your training as well as optimizing your day to day life to fit your goals, as well as daily check ins via text message to ensure you're sticking to the plan.
I will do whatever my client is comfortable with. If they prefer I stay at a distance and wear a mask while I train them, I am more than happy to oblige. I want my clients to be as comfortable as possible as I understand starting out in the gym can be a little intimidating.
