I had some expectations for this class, but my experience far exceeded them. I expected balance and strengthening. I took the first class. I was right. It is great for that. I was surprised at how much MORE I attained.
I used to be very strong and athletic. Now, I have vertigo and balance issues. I fall. If I lift one leg off the ground, chances are, I will be on the ground.
Right after Harry's class, I took a yoga class. The tree pose is impossible as it requires me to lift one foot.
Amazingly, I posed, and held the pose with perfect stability; first right, then left. I also noticed a very distinct difference in how I interacted with the ground and my posture was straight, relaxed, strong and confident.
Harry's class teaches your brain to connect with coordination of the muscles which have begun to oppose each other. After Harry's class, they are mentored into working as a cohesive unit.
Harry has an excellent awareness of the relationship between the central and peripheral nervous systems and the muscles they innervate.
To me, it seems like he was giving the groups of muscles a different perspective on their relationship they were sharing. And what relationship can't benefit from better perspective of each other? The result is mutual cooperation.
He teaches in a clear and understandable way, demonstrating as he goes. The results of Harry's class are exceptional.
