I am certified in personal training by the National Council for Certified Personal Trainers. I offer both on-site/gym and travel training. Upon request, new clients can get the first two weeks half off to try me out, as well as the first session free. This offer demonstrates my confidence that clients will stick with me for the long term. My linked Instagram exhibits some of the results I can offer clients using my experience in strength training, hypertrophic muscle development, corrective exercise, and nutrition guidance for all ages, genders, and experience levels.

Having not seen the inside of a gym since high school (and even then it was a rare occasion), I started training with Nick just over 2 months ago and can already see a massive improvement in both health and appearance. As a gym novice, I was initially apprehensive about joining, but Nick put those concerns to rest immediately with a quick conversation as we hammered out my goals and the steps we would need to take to achieve them. He’s incredibly knowledgeable about both diet and exercise and has no trouble at all breaking those subjects down into simpler terms to help a complete beginner understand. He’s a great trainer and overall just a good guy to work with. He has made my experience significantly more fun and productive than it otherwise would’ve been. If you’re looking for a trainer, this is the one you want.

I’ve work with about 10 different trainers in my lifetime. I’m 56. Anthony is by far the greatest. No one comes close. I was amazed. I had the opportunity to workout with him 3x per week. He is always on time. Gives you the full hour. Personalizes every work out. In 6 months I never repeated a workout. He’s bright and he knows his stuff. He has made healthcare his life. Astounding.

Kat Nicholson
By far the best personal trainer in Los Angeles. I've never actually worked with a trainer who knew how to push me to reach my own potential. I was a three sport athlete in high school who fell off the grid in college, got bogged down partying too much, then forgot how to go to the gym. Seriously gained 30 pounds my freshman year of college, developed an eating disorder to fix it, completely neglected my own athleticism... Jon Kaker singlehandedly brought m back to elite competitive form and now I dominate in every sport I compete in. The best part? I didn't change my diet at all, I eat whatever I want and I have 17% body fat as a woman. That's something I couldn't achieve even when I was starving myself. If you want to reach your potential as an athlete, listen to Jon Kaker.

The Fit Connection difference is in the attitude we bring to our work. We are PROFESSIONAL trainers. We take our work seriously and our only goal is to get you the results you need. That means challenging, integrated workouts involving many different forms of training (where necessary): pilates, weight training, conditioning drills, powerlifting, balance training, speed drills, kickboxing, plyometrics, aerobic training, stretch work and many other techniques to help you get the results you desire. We do not take one single workout approach and apply it to everyone. Every person we work with is unique. That means every person we work with needs a unique workout tailored to their unique personality, their unique ability level, and their unique goals. We are not only there to push our clients, we are there to support, motivate and educate as well. We care about what we do and it shows in our training and in the results experienced by our customers. I truly enjoy helping people better themselves. It's very rewarding to see someone hit their goals and even surpass them!
My typical process with a new customer normally encompasses a weigh-in, where I take bodypart measurements, bodyfat measurements and track their weight.
Additionally, I sit down and discuss their nutritional intake and how it can be modified to suit their goals. If necessary, I give nutritional plans as well.
Lastly, my workouts start with a slow buildup. I push my clients, but only to the degree that they are capable of being pushed. Normally the acclimatization period lasts a few weeks and my clients are up to speed and can do more challenging workouts.
I utilize any and all training methods to help my clients reach their goals including: weight training, stretching, sport specific training, core training, plyometrics, cardiovascular training, balance training, isometric work, kickboxing, sports conditioning, and powerlifting.
When you train with me you are my number one priority! My only focus is to get you where you want to go!
Paul and Donna both came to personal training from a lifelong love of sports and fitness. Our passion has become our desire to help others reach their goals. We constantly strive to give our clients the tools, guidance and push to achieve everything they desire.
Finding a good personal trainer is like finding a good mechanic - it's not easy, much like finding a needle in a haystack.
First - you want a personal trainer who is punctual and attentive. You are paying for the hour, you don't want a personal trainer who routinely shows up 10 minutes late. Additionally, you're not paying for someone to text message their friends or watch tv while you are working out. A good personal trainer is entirely focused on their client.
Second - the majority of personal trainers approach their clients from a single point of view. They have limited knowledge and experience and don't incorporate a variety of techniques into their training. You want a personal trainer who is going to tailor your workout for you. You are unique and you have specific goals. Your workout should be unique and specific as well.
Third - Nutrition. Many trainers think their job begins and ends with a workout. Not so. 50% of your results will depend upon what you do OUTSIDE the gym. You need a trainer who is an expert in designing nutritional plans and supplementation guidelines that will help you meet your specific goals.
Fourth - you want a PROFESSIONAL trainer. Too many trainers see training as a part time job while going to school or doing some other activity. You want a proven trainer whose sole focus is training. You want a highly experienced professional who has a proven track record of getting results from their clients.
Fifth - you need to find a personal trainer that cares about the work they do. Too many trainers fail to push their clients to a sufficient degree that they will experience results. This shows a lack of knowledge, as well as a lack of dedication to results. Many trainers give their clients easy workouts and are more comfortable making the workout a social session, rather than a focused session geared towards seeing results. Trainers who care, care enough to push their clients to the degree that they will be able to meet their goals.
Lastly - you want a trainer who pays attention to details. Your results will depend upon more than your work in the gym. They will depend upon your work outside the gym, your nutritional intake, your sleeping habits as well as the stress levels of your daily life. You need a trainer who is able to pinpoint the areas of your life that may be stopping you from seeing results, and consequently can help you find solutions that will help you achieve the results you desire.
