Not your typical fitness professional… More than 14 years of experience, combined with a PhD in Biology, lead me to look at the human body differently, as one engine moving multiple levers in unison. As any engine, it needs fuel and eventually it will need to cool down. Overuse it or misuse it and parts can break, they can get loose or stuck, with at times dramatic consequences.

Don't you hate it when you sign up for a fitness program, only to discover it's some generic cookie-cutter plan that's distributed to the masses? The all-too-common scenario of being handed a generic, one-size-fits-all fitness plan doesn't align with our philosophy. We recognize that while certain principles of fitness are universally effective, the magic lies in the customization of these principles to fit your individual goals and lifestyle.

I've trained with Andre multiple times per week over the past year. He is fun to work with and I've made many improvements in my strength training by working with him regularly. I am now able to do exercises I didn't previously have the strength to do like chin-ups, heavy squats, and deadlifts. Thanks Andre!

I choose Darryl as my CFI and used him through my Private Pilot License (PPL). Darryl is a career flight instructor and knows his stuff inside and out. It took me about 6 months to get my license and I would fly with Darryl an average of twice a week. I am not a particularly good student and am a difficult "customer" - Darryl was patient with me and very encouraging. I coach wrestling and I see that Darryl has the qualities of a great coach - he will honey drip you when you do well - and immediately point out where you messed up. In fact, he builds to his curriculum mini-tests that you are almost guaranteed to mess up, as instructional opportunities. What I found particular about Darryl is his expert risk assessment ability. While training Darryl clearly knows where his students are and lets his students go right up to the "line" when practicing their skills. I found the ability for me to use my judgement in taking calculated risks around weather, airports, and routes was essential in my ability to operate under my own license. I found that while Darryl is perhaps one of the most expensive flight instructor in the area, I feel that it was worth it. He is dedicated to his student's success, is very organized, and flexible. I felt pushed the right amount and was never uncomfortable. I learned quickly with Darryl and felt I was well prepared for my PPL checkride.

I hired Alexia as our guide for a Nordic Walking team building event on Angel Island. Â It was a blast! Â She was patient and friendly, teaching us the basics of Nordic walking, which was not only a great workout but also very fun! Â Alexia took care of all the logistics so it was incredibly easy for my team to just show up at the ferry building in the morning to head out to Angel Island. Â She provided an amazing picnic and was so thoughtful about bringing along some of her favorite local foods and treats. Â Her communication was also top notch. Â I originally reached out to her via her website and she seamlessly planned the event for us. Â I'd highly recommend Alexia and Nordic walking if you're looking to get out of the office and do something new with your co-workers!

5 stars for the two classes I tried -- a HIIT on Monday with Rachel and a TRX class with Chris. Both were great workouts -- it's a no frills gym space (seemed like one half of the gym was for group classes while the other half of the gym was reserved for personal training), teachers were good and I definitely worked up a sweat. Both 6am classes that I attended were a small group -- prob around 5 ppl each -- so it was nice because you got enough attention and correction and never felt like you were going to get into anyone's personal space (or have yours invaded), but also had enough motivation with others around you. Overall the classes were also really affordable.Reasons why this is not a 5 star rating:1. I first tried out the studio via ClassPass and then got a Groupon (yes I'm embarrassed but it was $30 for 5 classes!). It was extremely hard to get my account set up from the Groupon -- I had to try calling several times and finally when I reached someone he told me to come to class and the person there would help me sign up, but that person said he didn't know how... overall it was frustrating and I still don't have my account set up, which means I can't sign up for classes online. I realize this is an exception but it's still annoying.2. I wish there were more class time options. I like that they have 6AM M-F to accommodate work schedules, Â but they don't have that many options overall (6, 830 or 930 for people who don't have work , and sometimes an evening 5/6 class during the work week; 9am sat; closed Sunday).
