I searched all LA for a good boxing gym for several months, I was looking for an affordable gym where I could come in at later times that came with a good atmosphere. Â Went to many of them, most closed too early for my schedule, some were too expensive, some just had too many egos roaming around. Â after all the search I did, I believe that I found what I was looking for here at Sweet Science!. Their prices are very reasonable, especially for what they offer compared to others. They offer several classes at no extra charge. They keep the students engaged with special monthly challenges and with special boxing events. Their hours are insane! a Boxing gym that closes after 12:00pm on Saturday is unheard of!. At Sweet Science, they pretty much close until u get your workout fix!. Last weekend I left the gym at almost 5pm on a Sat!. I've been going there for six months and so far I don't have any complaints. I have lost a lot of weight and gained a lot of energy! All in all - Give it a try, stay committed and you will see results!!Pros: Lots of parking on back, Great Boxing and MMA classes for beginners and advanced students, No initiation fees just a flat monthly rate. Â Great coaches committed to helping students reach their goals(I'm not kidding when I say that they sometimes go beyond to help you).Cons: its a bit small but it's never been an excuse for me not to get my work out.

I began working with Harrison after having reconstructive knee surgery to repair a torn ACL and meniscus damage in my left knee. Having previously had knee surgery on my right knee to repair a torn ACL and working with multiple physical therapists in the past, I feel that I have a good frame of reference to comment on my experience with Harrison. Overall, I am very satisfied and feel that my knee is just as strong, if not stronger than it was before my injury and subsequent surgery. While I had been through it before, Harrison did a great job thoroughly explaining the program, which allowed me to better understand my own body. I have been a competitive athlete my entire life and still live a very active lifestyle, and Harrison did a great job managing expectations. I have always been very aggressive with my physical therapy, and this time was no different, but Harrison guided our program in a thoughtful and calculated manner. He did a great job balancing my desire to "get back out there" with setting realistic expectations that have ensured my long-term success. He kept things dynamic and continued to challenge me in a way that was very motivating and created good habits moving forward. I highly recommend Harrison as a physical therapist, and I am very appreciative of his work. While injuries are frustrating and bring up all types of emotions, Harrison helped me get through it, and I am back to living my normal life and doing the things that I enjoy!

Fantastic gym, highly recommended. The coaches and staff are welcoming, helpful, upbeat and skilled in coaching to all levels of fitness. The gym is casual and laid back, full of people who take fitness seriously but a gym community that is easy to fit into and not pretentious, which is nice. I was a Crossfit newbie and was able to ramp up quickly, with tons of help and coaching from the awesome staff and fellow classmates. I am loving CrossFit Rising Wave and I would definitely recommend swinging in and checking it out!

Jason is the best. When I started training with Jason I was skinny fat :) Never having been able to get rid of the stomach pouch but being relatively slim. I also had back concerns from injuries. He put me on a weekly schedule to build strength in core areas to support my frame. We built strength first with me easily besting my all time bench etc. The food program was awesome. I dropped a ton of fat and put on huge muscle gains. People I have known for a long time could not believe the size I put on which is what I was after. Also having shredded abs from this training was a nice result as well. I highly recommend Jason because of his knowledge, integrity, and just being an all around great coach. Thanks J.James Jordan
