My goal is to identify the best eating pattern for your specific needs and then create a plan that works for you to ultimately improve and maintain your health. I continue to expand my knowledge in the area of Integrative and Functional Nutrition which looks deeper, to the root cause of whatever health concern arises and addressing that rather than 'fixing' symptoms. My approach is very much holistic and will review your exercise, sleep and stress management habits which can ultimately influence your eating patterns and behaviors. Merging my background, experience and understanding of you, I will be your partner in discovering YOUR healthiest self!

How important is a healthy diet to someone’s health and wellbeing?

It is becoming more evident how important the foods we eat influence our health and longevity (how long we live). For example, more and more research is demonstrating the influence particular foods have on the bacteria in our gastrointestinal system.

What do you love most about your job?

Seeing my clients reach their goals, and maintain habits they did not think they could do!
Witnessing my clients feel better as a result of the changes they have made.

What inspired you to start your own business?

I got frustrated working in typical hospital dietitian roles because I was not able to spend much time with my patients to properly assess and counsel them. Consequently, I was unable to really understand the causes of their dietary challenges in order to support them in formulating appropriate, relevant dietary recommendations.
It was difficult to individualize a dietary pattern given the lack of time with patients.

I am very much about meeting you where you are and working with you to identify small steps to get you closer to the ideal eating pattern (and healthy habits) for you.
We all struggle to shift our behaviors - it is natural to resist the change. My approach is to set small intentions/goals and build on them. Sometimes we do not reach goals - this is not a failure, it is mor about not having found the right 'recipe' or approach for you to meet the intention.
Changing behavior is a process which involves our mindset - this takes time, and my philosophy is that my role is to guide you through the process, cheering you on and being your accountability person so you can be living the healthy life you desire.
