Every party is different, so every event & playlist should be different. I work hard with my clients to identify what kind of music they like- and in extension what kind of music their guests like. While we are DJing, we are paying close attention to what the crowd is reacting well to and what they don't. Based on that, we will work on keeping them engaged and energized. Along with our intelligent lighting, we are able to enhance the atmosphere of any event, along side our adequate programming, we always aim to have every guests walking out saying "that was the best party ever!"
I have been involved with music all of my life. With my knowledge of music theory, BPM and certain key of songs, it allows me to be very creative when transitioning from one song to another. blending songs seamlessly, and giving a new sound to an old song is one of my favorite aspects of my job! However, depending on what the crowd is reacting well to some songs in certain keys are not capable of blending with other songs! We will never mix or blend a song that we don't think will work! If we cannot blend it, or mix it we will find a creative way to transition without sacrificing the integrity of the dance floor and energy.
My favorite part of my job is the reaction we get when we play a song the guests haven't heard in years! Hearing multiple guests on the dance floor scream "OOOOHH" when you paly a song is one of the greatest feelings in the world! Almost as good as when a bride tells me that we made everything so easy for them, and they had the best time of their life! Almost that good, not quite though!
I was inspired through those I was working for at the time. I have been DJing for 8 years, and in that time I learned a lot from my employers! However, some of my employers were much more conservative, and did not appreciate some of the 'more wild' parties! Where I loved them! I love it when there is a packed dance floor! When I can make a wedding feel like a very sophisticated and elegant club we all win!

While I'm at an event, I bring a sign that guests can scan in order to text me their song request directly! They are welcome to come to the DJ booth for their request, however for those who are not comfortable are able to still have their song be heard without walking up to me personally!
