A lot of DJs specialize in one genre. I am not one of those people. I like to play lots of different styles in my mixes. I prefer hip-hop and R&B but I'm comfortable with almost everything. However, whatever the client wants, the client gets. If they want to hear 80s synthpop, you play 80s synthpop with some similar songs.
I love music. I've always had an ear for music. I'm a pretty humble person with many things, but one of the things I pride myself with aside from my knowledge and commitment to great sound, is my ability to listen to a track that nobody has heard before, and be able to tell if it will be a hit or not. Different songs give me different feelings and it's almost as if I can feel there energy/potential to get people on the dance floor, as well as visualize how people will move to the music.
