Very clean facility. Wide variety of training choices. (BJJ, kickboxing, muay thai, oh my! And even more!) There is a co-ed kickboxing class, plus another one specifically for women only. For a "fight gym" type of place, BTC is very beginner-friendly and women-friendly.
I am a new member and a cautious learner. The coaches/trainers look tough but are very professional, mindful of physical/mental/emotional boundaries. They are patient and they are kind. Sometimes I am a little slower in trying new things in a (BJJ) class or wish to practice drilling some more before moving on to the next skill, and they are accommodating. They challenge me, but respect my limits too. Their encouragement and support often allow me to feel comfortable enough to try the next, new skill.
Amazingly, there are other people in the (BJJ) class who are fearless and eager to jump to the next new skill being taught, and the coaches are able to adapt to individual differences of the students in the class, and provide what each member needs.
Staff are welcoming and helpful. Any time I have a question there is a trainer or front-desk staff member who goes out of their way to help me, from answering questions about classes to teaching me how to wrap my hands for the boxing gloves.
Trainers and coaches not only teach in the gym but are actual professional fighters. The skills they teach are current and relevant; they are the skills they employ in their own training and in competition.
The fee schedule is very reasonable considering the variety of training options BTC offers. So many programs available for both children and adults.
