My Dad was in the business all his life with two large New York flooring chains. I was going to work with him since I was 9 years old. Naturally I went into the carpet business as well. I began as a carpet installer in 1973. I then went into sales working for an Armstrong distributor in Connecticut. I then moved on to become a regional manager Salem Carpet which at the time was the second largest carpet manufacturer in the country.
In 1998 I left the wholesale side of the business and opened my first retail store in Orange, Connecticut named The Floor Store. I opened a second location in Middletown Connecticut in 2001. In 2008 my daughter Janine joined the business and we changed our image from a warehouse type operation to a decorator showroom and changed our name to Floor Decor. Today we cater to the customer looking for professional advice as well as design expertise.
We are passionate about what we do, we offer incredible products and expert installation with a lifetime warranty. Our goal is to have our customers love their new floor.

Kevin and his crew worked diligently and precisely to repair our dry walls. We had to have our house re-piped and so had a number of walls with cut-throughs to allow for re-piping. KTD repaired and restored our walls to new, if not better than. Even one of our plumbers commented on their professional work. I will be calling them in the future when we have any construction or repair needs.

I hired Best Choice to install flooring on my entire first floor and bathrooms. The job was done really nicely, no stress and great quality. Now I’m thinking on doing my second floor as well with them!
