I went here for dinner on their opening night and was not disappointed! The Porch is a restaurant by Dinners On The Porch which is a meal pickup service. They send their menu out to their email list every week and you can place your order and then pick it up. The pickup meals are generally geared towards a family of four. Now the pickup location for those options is this restaurant. Check out their website for more info on that. They serve breakfast and lunch only (although you could get an early dinner since they close at 6) Monday-Thursday, add in dinner on Friday and Saturday, and serve brunch on Sunday. This is not a table service place which I was a bit surprised by. You order at the counter, pick up at a different counter, and then sit down to enjoy your food. The place isn't super big, they have really large tables so it does offer a bit less seating options than if they had thrown in some two person tables as well. The menu was fairly extensive, it is a Tex-Mex place, and I believe they will also always have a special item available for dinner as well. On Friday it was enchiladas, which a friend got and really enjoyed them. I got the chorizo nachos which is an appetizer, but was huge and great for a meal as well. I got them without the roasted jalapenos, because I don't really care for a whole lot of spiciness. They were great! They weren't so bad leftover either as I basically just turned them in to soft shell tacos. My boyfriend got the BBQ Cowboy Sliders, they were really delicious but did not taste like your standard BBQ burger. I think that is due to the Tex-Mex flair, I personally preferred their sliders then what you would usually get when ordered a BBQ burger. But if you are expecting sweet BBQ sauce these are probably not the best option for you. The cheese and I believe bacon were mixed right into the burger. They offered us a complimentary chips and queso. How could I pass up queso? It was really good, but I would prefer a bit less spicy version. This is right next to my yoga place (The Breathing Room) so I will be frequenting many more times! In January they are pairing up and offering a yoga/lunch combo that I will be trying out. You order right before you head into yoga and then your lunch is ready for you as you are heading out. Also, this place isn't the easiest to find! The street you turn down to get here (right before the gas station) looks like it goes no where. The door to get to the porch is right next to Hoots Roller Bar.I went in for Sunday brunch and my breakfast tacos were delicious. They come with three so i just tried one of each. As far as meat goes one had bacon and one chorizo, they all had eggs and cheese, and two had re-fried beans. My friend got the breakfast bowl and was a big fan.
