Julie, like any experienced event planner, is excellent at what she does when allowed to practice her expertise freely. Â Completely forthcoming about her approach, she tries to tailor each event to her client's desires and budget, but she does not work well as a pawn. Â Know in advance: If you want to work with her, you must have a clear idea of what you want, but you mustn't try to micro-manage her. Â Simply put, the best way to work with her is to tell her what you want, let her do her thing, and keep in touch along the way. Â Following this model, she has helped her clients give wonderful parties.I write this review as one who has assisted her on several events. Â As for Rachel S.'s review -- well, the woman is an anomaly among Julie's clients. Â And I know whence I speak. Â To say she was trying to deal with would be putting it lightly. Â She was already anxious and behind schedule when she hired Julie. Â As far as her invitations were concerned, she sent the assignment without a clear definition of what she wanted but was ready with complaints when it didn't come out right. Â She also assigned Julie to mail the invitations for her but didn't bother to supply a return address. Â When it came to planning the actual event, if Julie disagreed with her on even smaller points, such as floral arrangements -- well, she didn't take disagreement too well.This review may sound like back-biting, but I assure all of you other readers that this is not what I intend. Â I simply mean to caution you that Rachel S., I think, represents the exception. Â Those who bring Julie ideas of what they want -- with enough time to get them -- and the confidence to let her do what she does well will not be disappointed.

When I first got engaged I wasn't even thinking of getting a wedding coordinator but I found out that at my church it was mandatory for me to have a day of coordinator.So I did phone consultations with several coordinators, but Estelle offered an in person consult. We ended up doing a webcam consult with her and my fiance and we really hit it off.I loved her personality and could tell she was really passionate about what she does.She explained that she doesn't really do "day of coordination" but she does "month of coordination" because she really wants to be sure that all the details are set and taken care of prior to the big day.Even though we agreed on the month of package I swear it felt like she gave me the year long coordination.She was amazing at keeping me on track with timelines and check in emails, she was available to answer any questions, give me suggestions, and she sent me a list of referrals for vendors that I hadn't picked yet. I ended up using her florist and it was the best deal I had come across.Months before my wedding Estelle and her team had met or been in touch with my vendors and had them filling out questionnaires to be sure that the wedding day went smoothly. She knew every single detail of my wedding, even better than I did! Her process of organizing items for set up on the day of made everything so much easier. Her team set up everything just how I wanted it from the place cards and sweetheart table, to the sign in table and dessert table. I had absolutely nothing to worry about because of Estelle's organization and experience.She made my entire timeline for the wedding day and kept everything on track.My wedding would have been a mess without her and her wonderful team. Because of them I would have been stressing the whole time and wouldn't have been able to enjoy it.Coming from someone who didn't even want a wedding coordinator, I would now recommend her to anyone and stress that having her as your coordinator is a top priority!
