I’m a four-generation native of Montana. I have two adult boys and one teenage daughter which I’m learning to buckle up for a ride! Along the way I went to three prestigious colleges and learned about the wonderful students loans. I have always lived in Montana, however, I have travelled to many places that take my breath away! I took some courses with Rocky Mountain School of Photography to enhance my shooting abilities.

I attended the Summer Intensive this summer and it was a good alternative to attending a community college back home. At RMSP I was able to get all my learning done in 6 weeks verses a two year course. Coming into the program with several years of photography knowledge, I feel it was great at reassuring me of my preexisting knowledge as well as building on it. Only thing I wish I had know is that is is more of a beginner program for hobbyists rather than a shorter option for professionals. Having already been to a 4 year college with degrees in marketing and management and growing up with parents who own 3 small businesses, I feel the PI program was too expensive considering I already at a 4 year private college education. The Summer program is a great option for beginners wanting to start advancing their knowledge and a good lead into their PI program if you know you want to run a photography business. I also loved the opportunity I got to travel while I was out there. They encouraged day and weekend trips to practice and get out to see out west. I was able to go to Seattle and Glacier all in my 6 weeks of being in Montana!
The staff is amazing and so supportive, I do hope to attend workshops in the future and will contribute to grow as a photographer and business owner because of RMSP!
