I love that every day is different. Every event is different, every couple. I have worked with all types of customers. Young couples, couples on their 3rd marriages... I've done weddings in mosques, in synagogues, I've worked with same sex couples, multi racial couples, fancy churches, and little beach elopements. I have a bachelors degree in art from the State University of New York, but what I feel has impacted my work the most is the almost 20 years of professional work for OTHER photographers. I was trained by professionals in the field, and learned concepts such as lighting, composition, and proper exposure, originally on film cameras. This meant I had to understand the complicated workings of the camera without being able to see the images on the LCD screen. I soaked up information from my time with a sports photographer, portrait photographers, and in the field training with wedding photographers BEFORE setting out on my own. When I worked for a local wedding photographer, and disagreed with the way they treated their customers, and the quality of the product they were putting out, I knew it was time to step out on my own. I utilize every lesson I've learned from all walks of photographer in my own unique style to this day.
