Find a Wedding Makeup Artist in Pittsburgh

Trying a new salon can be scary, am I right? After going to the same place for 12 years, I was looking to switch things up a bit and find a salon closer to me. A friend recommended the newly opened Julia James Salon and it was one of those great experiences right off the bat that I'm sorry I didn't book the minute they opened. The salon is bright, modern, and stylish! I felt welcomed right away. Even though it was busy and there was a constant flow of clients, it wasn't noisy. In fact, the music and ambiance was perfect. I was immediately offered my choice of beverage and felt well taken care of as soon as I arrived. I went in for a cut and color including balayage and baby lights. I read the biographies of each stylist on their Facebook page to get a sense of what they each specialize in. While I had a hard time choosing, because they all look so amazing, I went with Lynsey because she was also a brunette and loves balayage and baby lights. I felt like she really took my preferences to heart, didn't mind me showing her photos of what I like, and truly delivered a style and color combo that wowed me! I am super picky when it comes to color and she did not disappoint! This salon has some amazing talent. I loved what each client walked out with during my time there! I don't think you can make a bad choice here! The salon is located in a small plaza that offers lots of free parking. I definitely recommend following them on Facebook and/or Instagram to see the results that come out of this salon. I will definitely be a returning customer.

This salon is THE BEST!! From the vibes to the products and services offered, it is a place I look forward to going!! The hairdressers are AMAZING, too!! I look to both Carlee and Jess for all things cosmetic. Carlee has been doing my hair for years and recently gave me a lash lift and tint (which can i say is a total game changer!?). She is professional and delivers fantastic results every time. I couldn’t be more thrilled to have a hairdresser that knows me and my style so well. Jess has been the FIRST person i’ve trusted with my brows. She’s given me advice on how to shape them and where to maintenance. She is an expert at it and will now be the ONLY one to touch them haha!! Definitely my new go-to service!! I couldn’t recommend this salon and either of these girls enough!! Thanks for keeping me pretty, girls!!

Sydney did my makeup and hair for my wedding, not only was she incredible with working around my schedule she also traveled to me. She did a fantastic job I received compliments all night! I would highly recommend her she is great personable and she does an amazing job while managing to keep prices reasonable. Thanks again Sydney for allowing me to look beautiful on my special day!!!!

Amy is the best! She will treat you like the Queen you are, and better yet, she's a pro with her makeup pallete. Amy pays attention to detail so She's sure to transform you into your most beautiful self! Afterward you should go out & celebrate!

This is the only place I trust getting a Brazilian waxing in Pittsburgh! Their beauty bar is super cute, clean and the services are executed in a timely manner. They use a certain type of wax that makes the experience less painful and a lot quicker! I've also gotten my eyebrows waxed & tinted here, as well as underarm waxing! TWO THUMBS WAY UP!

I have followed Carly from her previous salon to her new salon, Trend Pittsburgh, and have been beyond impressed with everything. I’ve had haircuts, Brazilian blowouts, blonde balayage, to all over brown dye treatments, back to balayage and my hair has remained healthy and thick. In addition to the actual hair treatments, the location in Lawrenceville designed by Carly and Taylor is clean and has an array of fantastic products to purchase. I would highly recommend Trend Pittsburgh Salon to anyone seeking any sort of hair treatment!

This is the only salon I go to! For years, even since I have lived outside of Pittsburgh (Philadelphia and DC), I continue to return to this trusted gem. The salon is modern and comfortable. All the stylists are talented, professional, friendly, and kind. Our bridal party, men and women, had our pre-wedding hair done at the salon. We had the place to ourselves, they opened on Sunday for us, allowed us to use their fridge for food and beverages, and they even provided wine for the special occasion. Tea, coffee, and water are always available. My brother, who has shopped around NYC for years, from high end salons to inexpensive barber shops and everything in between said that it was the best hair cut he has ever had. I continue to go for hair cuts and styling and more recently, waxing. I know many who go for color, and the product is absolutely the best that I have ever used: Kerastase. The Kerastase hair product is worth the extra money, because it typically lasts me a few months up to a whole year depending on how much and how frequently I use it – I have very long, thick hair. I have tried many other products, but the cheaper stuff can’t even come close. Going to schedule my next appointment at Andrew Leo now…

I met Tamara at my friends wedding when I was a bridesmaid in 2014. We all absolutely loved our hair for my friends wedding and when I got engaged I knew I would want Tamara to do my hair for me and my bridesmaids! Tamara has a salon right outside of Pittsburgh where I also get my hair cut frequently and she is amazing! She has built such an incredible business and every time I go to her salon I leave feeling so good, not only about my hair but also about life in general. Tamara is so positive, engaging, encouraging, knowledgeable and talented! She's perfect on a wedding day because she's efficient and will give each person exactly what they want! She listens and you can tell she really really loves her job. She did a trial for me which helped me figure out exactly what I wanted on the wedding day... making that day stress-free. She did 6 bridesmaids, my sister-in-law, my Mom, my Grandma and my flower girl. Everyone looked beautiful!
