I have trusted Colleen to make me look beautiful for so many important events. She truly listens to what you want, makes suggestions, teaches you what she’s doing and why; just an overall amazing experience every time! Whether you need light and natural or heavy and dramatic she can do it all! I highly recommend Colleen for any event, or if you just want to feel like your best self for a day.

Lyndsay was extremely responsive. She asked the right questions to help decide who of her expert hair stylists was the best fit for me. She sent me pictures of Heather's work to confirm that I agreed with her choice and I couldn't have picked a better stylist myself. Heather was extremely professional, friendly, knowledgable and talented. I met Heather at Lyndsay's studio for a trial a few months before the wedding. During this time Heather showed me a few different options for braids once I gave her an idea of what I was looking for. She was flexible and patient with me as we tried each braid. There was no time limit and you could tell that she wanted me to feel comfortable before leaving. On the wedding day, Heather and Merci her assistant showed up early and ready to go. They were again very flexible, relaxed and accommodating. They didn't hesitate when my Mom said she didn't feel like her self with her hair pinned back. They took it down immediately and walked her through figuring out what she really wanted. For myself, I had a hair piece that I was torn about using on the wedding day. We used it at the trial but I just didn't feel like it was me. Heather could tell I wasn't sure and was extremely supportive. She told me we could put the hair piece in and if I didn't like it she would remove it and do the whole thing over if she had to! It felt as if she were a relative that day just trying to help me have the best day ever. And that she did. After trying the hair piece I realized I didn't actually want it. She fixed my hair and it was gorgeous! I cannot recommend Lyndsay Simon Beauty enough. If you want to feel comfortable, supported and relaxed on your wedding day knowing that the outcome will be beautiful, choose them!

Kristin did an amazing job at my wedding. She did bridal makeup for me and my entire bridal party. Everyone looked stunning and I felt beautiful. She listened to exactly what I wanted and created the perfect look. Kristin was very professional and managed to get all 8 of us ready early! She has a great eye and is very talented. I highly recommend her.

Was lucky to purchase a Groupon for a haircut at Patrice Vinci, but was lucky even more so, when I chose Steven Bruno to cut my hair. He is now the ONLY person that I will allow to cut my hair. I will wait until he is back from any movie set where he does the stars hair, because I have NEVER had a cut that was so perfect!This is how one Groupon can make for a LASTING relationship!

Gabriella had worked on a number of my clients and she always does an amazing job. She uses an airbrush to finish off the face and that makes for investable photographs. Perfect for brides!

Just went here yesterday for the first time. I am so upset that I didn’t know this place existed until now. I have extremely curly and very thick hair, that usually poses a challenge and takes forever to blow out straight. The stylist who did my hair was super accommodating and friendly, sharing the names of the products she used and making sure that I was comfortable the entire time. The woman who I believe to be the manager or owner was very kind and helpful, explaining different tips and techniques! Super quick blow out, excellent if you’re prepping your hair for the week or just for whenever! I wasn’t charged a different price due to my hair’s thickness or curl which is rare. I had to mess with my hair a bit when I got home to get it exactly how I wanted it, which is always going to happen. Love this place and excited to go back! So happy to have found this gem, highly recommend

This was the best lash experience I have ever had I'm addicted to getting my lashes done but I think I found my new "home" haha. This place is very warm and inviting and very refreshing as soon as you walk in. The staff is also very nice and offered me coffee or water when I came in. They went above and beyond my expectations. And Ryann is the best technician she looks for lashes that fit your features. She also went above and beyond by fixing my lashes that was just irritating my eyes. Can't say enough about this place you have to come and experience it yourself! :)

Alyson is amazing! After ten years with the same very long hair I needed a drastic change and needed someone fierce to help me do it. I wanted to cut it all off but for it to still look femme - Alyson took my general idea and ran with it. She WERKed it out! You will be delighted with her haircuts and FIERCE coloring skills.

I stopped by this somerville location the other day after seeing some pretty good reviews for their other location in Brookline (which is too far from me). Luckily this somerville location is within walking distance of the Porter Sq. T stop (I'd say less than 10 minutes walk). And even better, the shop is located right in front of a bus stop! Both #87 and #83 stop right in front of it, so this location is super convenient. I walked in and was greeted by a very friendly desi woman, and she later informed me she was the owner. I was surprised to see that this isn't JUST a threading salon- but they also do hair, nails, henna, etc. And the prices were excellent. I only got my eyebrows done (regular price $12, but only $10 with a student ID). Other prices:upper lip $6chin $6[There's a whole list of services, and all the prices looked very reasonable]. And with the student discount, this place is definitely a bargain! The actual threading experience was very pleasant- it's clear she knows what she's doing. There was no pain at all, she threads very quickly and puts aloe on at the end to soothe any irritation. I will definitely be returning!UPDATE: if you decide to go, call ahead and ask if the owner is working. The other people are not as competent. I went a 2nd time and there was a younger woman working there who threaded my eyebrows SO SLOWLY that I was nearly bored to tears. who takes more than 15 minutes to thread eyebrows!! I felt like she was individually tweezing out each hair instead of threading.
