I learned a lot during this 5 week course. There is a different instructor each week which is really cool because you get to learn different tips and tricks from such talented artists. It's very hands on, you can practice on your classmates or bring a model. The instructors are Sooo helpful and encouraging! They are super motivating and challenge you out of your comfort zone. Definitely recommend this academy!

Emily is an amazing make-up and hair artist! She did make-up & hair for my pre-wedding party and then my wedding. I had my hair styled down for the party and up for the wedding and both were unbelievably gorgeous and lasted all night. My cousin wanted to use her for her own wedding but Emily was already booked. Emily also did my whole wedding party and they were all so pleased with the outcome, both young and old!Emily does amazing work and listens to what you are looking for. She also makes great suggestions on how she can work with your hair. She takes her time to go over every style detail examining it from the side, back, and front until she is happy with the overall look. Her make-up is meticulous and stays in place all night. I have never had someone put lashes on me like she did...I never felt them and they lasted until the next night when I was ready to take them off. I had a wonderful experience working with Emily. She was willing and open to work within my budget and make things possible. I will never get my hair or make-up done by anyone else as long as she is available :)  I highly recommend using her for your wedding or formal event!

Katye is extremely professional, accommodating and a pleasure to work with. In the midst of planning the wedding for my brother, I had completely forgotten about booking a makeup and hair artist/ stylist for the family. When I contacted Katye and others, Katye was one of the first few who returned my call, understood my requirements, looked up her availability and reserved our family for an early morning wedding. She responded to all of the followup questions my family and I had prior to the wedding and we never felt rushed with any of the last minute questions/ requests that came up. I didn't have this experience with other notable artists I contacted in the Bay area. Thank you so much to Katye for the looks she gave me and my family. We all looked extremely beautiful, the makeup and hair held up well all day (from 3AM to 11PM with no touchup and two outfit changes) and we got lots of praises. I can't thank Katye enough for working and cooperating with us through a very busy day, keeping our nerves calm and allowing us to have a wonderful wedding day. I highly recommend Katye and would sign her up for all of the future important functions in my family.

Tam did my hair and makeup for my wedding in October, and I am so happy I found her! What's nice about A-List makeup is they have price tiers so you can select what you want to pay, and I was really happy that I could find something within my budget, and within my bridesmaids budgets. For me (bride) it was $100 for hair + $100 for makeup, so $200 total for bridal which is so so reasonable. For bridesmaids it was $50 for hair + $50 for makeup. I looked through the different portfolios and chose Tam because she was within that price tier and her work looked amazing, on lots of different girls. I'm so happy I chose her!Tam is always really responsive and very helpful with my random little questions. The trial run went really well and she's so easy to talk to! I don't wear a lot of makeup so she suggested going natural ish which is exactly what I wanted. Once I was happy with my makeup she had me take a picture of the lipstick so I could order it to have it with me at the wedding for touch ups and I thought that was super smart. I showed her pictures of my hair ideas and she made it look EVEN BETTER than those pictures, so quickly! She even helped me find a hairpiece on Amazon so I could pick something before the wedding. Day of the wedding she and her assistant came to the house we were renting and set up their stuff really quickly, then got to work on the bridesmaids. They all looked so flawless! Tam and her assistant really listened to what each girl wanted which was really nice to see. Tam gets to me and totally nails it, I didn't think it was possible but it turned out even nicer than the trial. I am so, so happy with how my hair & makeup, and my bridesmaids hair & makeup came out! It was perfect!!Thank you so much Tam for making this a great experience and doing such a wonderful job!

I've been a client of Reflections Salon in Sunnyvale for 5 yrs but my hairdresser, MaryEllen, has been taking care of my hair for 20 yrs.  She does a great job with my color and highlights.  Prices are good and the atmosphere is wonderful. The decor is fresh and the locatation is great.  It's right off the the El Camino Real and S. Murphy St.

After my longtime friend Melissa mentioned she'll be working here....I started coming! She knows my hair very well! From super long to extremely short hair! Thanks friend for all the new looks!

I've came here for many times, often for prom makeup & hair and also for a haircut.  The prices are amazingly cheap and the work the stylist do is really good.  One turn off about this place -- the girls (students) here are pretty rude as well as the front desk lady.  Maybe the students are so rude because they get treated like crap from the teachers its pretty sad.  The only teacher that I saw who was treating their students nice was the make up teacher, she was so sweet and she made sure the students did a really good job on my face.  Overall this place is good if you want cheap prices and a job well done.
