This review is long overdue! Alicia truly made a wedding in covid (December 2020) a dream come true. Due to covid, I only had my hair and makeup done. I did not have a bridal party or have my mom or MIL in attendance.Working with Alicia is like spending time with your best girlfriend. She has a calm and friendly energy that puts you right at ease. Alicia is super communicative at all steps, especially leading up to the big day (which is helpful because I can have a "reply" in my mind and not hit 'send' -- kind of like this review! I'm finally hitting send!). Pre-planning included sending an album to her of hair and makeup ideas and a video call to discuss what I had in mind for my big day. I had previously looked at Alicia's IG and YT and knew I was in the perfect hands. In fact, I did not even schedule a makeup/hair trial, which I know is recommended when you're finding your hair and makeup person! (I was also planning on shortened time). All to say, I knew I could trust Alicia! (and brides, please DO YOU and get that trial if you need it!) Â Leading up to the big day came with a few challenges during covid (to say the least), and Alicia was flexible through it all and we made it to the big day! On the day she asked I arrive with a mask on and she took covid steps to the Nth level - sanitizing her hands, makeup and tools as every stage and of course she was wearing a face mask and shield as well. She got me done on time to give me time to get ready for our pictures. TL;DR: I LOVED my hair and makeup and thoroughly enjoyed my time with Alicia! I wish I could do it all over again (but without the covid contingencies). P.S. Alicia also referred us to our photographer, jguerzonpictorials! Thank you Alicia! Face Art By Pheebs is awesome. I would recommend anyone to her. Phoebe is down to earth, caring, and really honest about any opinion she gives you. She is very personable. She made me feel very comfortable and at ease. Her pricing is reasonable with the makeup industry. She was actually less than everyone else I consulted.
I had a great experience with Phoebe from the moment I first contacted her till this day more than 2 years after our first makeup. My trial with Phoebe was in May of 2012 after going to multiple MUAs I had had my makeup done and liked it but never got that "Wow factor" that I got when Phoebe first did my makeup. She was recommended by a friend that I always loved the way her makeup looked when we went to parties and also on her instagram so I asked her who did her makeup and she told me Phoebe. I was excited to finally meet Phoebe after hearing about her I visited her website and saw that I liked her style. Being Korean I usually have a hard time when MUAs do my makeup. I was very impressed with her versatility and I will use her from now on. I was impressed how beautiful she did all my wedding parties makeup too. Davis and his crew were quick to respond, always so pleasant, and a pleasure to have at our event. I have been going to Tony for 8 years.  He never disappoints.  I moved 35 miles away and tried a local salon, then tried another salon to fix what the local salon did and then came running back to Tony!  He fixed it...thank goodness!  I have complicated, thick hair and he is seriously  the only person who knows how to work with it.  I don't know what I would do without him.  His prices are reasonable and you can tell him anything shhhh!  It is a "no nonsense" salon, he doesn't try and up-sell or push products on you.  Highly recommend him for all your salon needs!
