Manis & Co. is generations in the making! When Brandon and Kristen met, they bonded over their love for homecooked family meals. With Kristens strong Italian heritage and Brandon's German roots they were able to create an amazing catering experience! Brandon has a background in food management and merchandising while Kristen is a Wedding Coordinator so it just seemed to be a match made in heaven!

We have some the best BBQ you have NEVER tasted...we have a unique rub and a homemade sweet sauce like no other on the market. I believe this is what set us apart from the rest of the BBQ joints in town.

Kitchen 919 is an upscale, fine-dining establishment. It occupies a space which previously housed The Orangery in Homberg Place, just off Kingston Pike in the Bearden district of Knoxville. Had the chicken with couscous and vegetable medley and an Italian sparkling wine which complemented the entree nicely. Servings were very generous and our server was knowledgeable and efficient. The low-volume jazz from piano and bass was a nice accompaniment to a delightful gastronomic experience!

I stayed at the Crowne Plaza Knoxville on a Sunday and Monday night with my parents when we visited Pigeon Forge, TN on vacation. This hotel had a great downtown location, there were many restaurants to choose from within a 2 mile radius, and the best part of the hotel is that they are PET FRIENDLY! I brought my two medium-sized dogs (30 and 37lbs), and they welcomed the dogs with open arms. They did not even charge an outrageously overpriced pet fee like many pet-friendly hotels like to do. The rooms were very comfortable, clean and up to date. There was a great view of downtown from the room and I love their "Sleep Advantage" sleep program. The beds are very comfortable with all-white bedding (so you know it's clean!), four fluffy pillows and a small bag with lavender linen spray, ear plugs and a sleep mask. The staff was very attentive and genuinely friendly. As I took the dogs out for walks multiple times per day, the evening bellman stopped and greeted the dogs by name and gave them a scratch every time! (Oh yea, and he greeted me too!) We did not have dinner in the restaurant, but we did enjoy their huge breakfast buffet each morning - it was delicious! Lots to choose from for a very reasonable price (as far as hotel breakfasts go!). Service was good, even though we went in late (around 9am) so the restaurant was not very busy, they were still very attentive to us. The food quality was also very good, for being late in the morning and right before dismantling the buffet. There was still good choice, the food was hot and fresh. You can tell that the hotel itself is an "older" building, but it is very well kept up and the furnishings and carpets were new. I will be staying here again for a wedding in August, can't wait to go back!Definitely two thumbs up!
