Coming from an Afghan, this place is authentic. Now you see too many restaurants that have fast food style kebabs and rice and do not put the time and effort into making the real deal dishes. I also had Kabul Restaurant cater to my Afghan wedding. Everyone loved the food and her prices are very competitive. Almost half price of the "famous and popular" chef who does all the weddings and parties in the metropolitan area. Ive been to the restaurant on a couple of special occasions and I was satisfied every single time. Highly recommend!

We decided to try this charming restaurant in Huntington Village while visiting family on Long Island today and boy were we impressed! Â The restaurant was impeccably clean, the decor was tasteful, and the corner location allowed for lots of natural light from the big windows. Â The staff was very friendly and attentive. Â The food was high quality- well spiced and fresh. Â We had a little of everything- Mixed Grill (which came sizzling hot on a hot skillet), the Cornish Hen (which had a delicious garnish of sundried tomato and mushroom), Â Qeema Naan (spiced ground lamb served on naan bread), and shrimp tikka (generous portion). Â The entrees all came with rice and yogurt sauce (which we applied liberally) and plain naan. Â We also ordered onion naan, which was very good. Â The prices were some of the lowest I have seen for this type of food, but the quality does not suffer for it.This is not your typical Indian restaurant- I would not go here for Chicken Tikka Masala or something along those lines. Â This is Pakistani food, which is grilled and is not served in gravy. Â The food was not too hot (in terms of spice) but was flavored very well. Â The staff was eager to help without being overbearing, and the manager even came over to check on us.I travel often for work and make it a point to eat Indian food when I can. Â Simply put, Spice Village Grill is one of the finest Indian/Pakistani restaurants I have visited. Â This will become a necessary stop anytime we are on Long Island!
