D’Lish (also known as Cactus Catering) has been extraordinary to work with from start to finish for our Customer Day Of Honor event. Their prompt communications and professional culinary skills left a wonderful overall impression! From the scrumptious tasting they organized to the personalized event service, everyone who attended our extravaganza was the benefactor of D’lish’s food industry expertise and exceptional business acumen. They’re clearly on the fast track to success, so if you’re looking for a quick nosh or a portable refreshment service that’ll exceed your expectations, reach out to the D’Lish family!

I have watched the construction since they gutted the building, and they are going first class. They were going to be open in June, but the City of Albuquerque's "Business Prevention Department" has delayed construction with their ridiculous building permitting procedures. Just ask La Cumbre, Bosque, Albuquerque Brewing, Rio Grande Brewing, Boxing Bear, Lizard Tail, Hallenbrick, and Stumbling Steer about the multiple delays that cost them thousands of dollars. The result is that the latter two breweries ran out of money and had to close. Dozens of jobs destroyed by the city. It's not just breweries suffering from these delays, it is all new construction. It is so bad that "In January, Mayor Berry announced the start of ABC to Z - an ambitious two-year project to update the Albuquerque/Bernalillo County Comprehensive Plan and to integrate and simplify the city’s zoning and subdivision regulations to implement the resulting plan." No help for at least 2 years. When I started appraising in 1973, the City of Albuquerque had one of the best zoning ordinances and building permitting processes in the entire USA. Municipalities from all over the country came here to learn about it. Now we have one of the worst. It's just the same as education. In 1952 when I moved here, APS had the 3rd highest teacher pay and graduation rate in the nation. We are somewhere around number 3 now, but from the bottom. Rio Bravo's first batch of beer is finished and being pumped into the tanks in the cooler today. If they can get their Certificate of Occupancy in time they hope for a soft opening in around the end of next week and grand opening in early September. Ty made great beer with his family's Santa Fe Brewing. I am looking forward to some really excellent beers at Rio Bravo Brewing. *CABQ Planning Department website.

I can't believe nobody has reviewed this place. It's right across from the University of New Mexico, and serves Mexican food until 10pm. The peanut salsa that comes with your chips is outstanding; the salsa verde good, the tomato salsa mildly interesting. The food varies from cheap and competent (a quarter chicken for $3.99) to a little expensive but very good (try the shrimp ranchero, for instance). This is Mexican food not New Mexican -- there's a pretty extensive selection of seafood. Try the Guisado Bandito, which is a pork chop with tomatillos. Check out the endlessly refillable glass of lemonade, the Negro Modelo, and the tasty margueritas. There's a fajita buffet on Friday and a daily special. Fridays and Sundays there is often a mariachi band, which is bad for quiet or good if you want some authentic atmosphere.

I was skeptical about going based on reviews alone. My last experience was at the nob hill location, where we waited a long time to be acknowledged and food took a long time and they never came back to check on us.
I went into the west side location as a skeptic with an open mind. As soon as we arrived we were greeted and sat right away, our server Juliana provided excellent service, the food was great and came quick despite how busy they were. I’ll definitely be going to the west side location more!
