If you love pastries and breads, which I do, then you'll want to check out the just-opened Newburgh Flour Shop on Liberty Street. It's a gift to all foodies in the Hudson Valley. Say goodbye to the bakery section at the supermarket. You can now get delicious croissants (which taste like they were baked in Paris), biscuits and breads, as well as outstanding coffee. The brownies are sooo good that they could be addicting. The Flour Shop is just up the street from its sister restaurant, the Liberty Street Bistro. If you've eaten there, you probably already know how good the bread is. Now you can buy it to take home. The shop itself is beautifully designed and Is a great addition to the emerging gourmet scene in Newburgh.
