I found Ray Cakes through work when Rachel came up in a few discussions at work. When I reached out to her I had a rather big request, making two custom cakes based on a video game. Rachel was not only extremely helpful helping me navigate the process of ordering a cake (it was my first time) but also incredibly excited about getting every detail right. If that wasn't enough, she went above and beyond to deliver the cakes straight to the office and ensure they were fresh for our event. As far as the cakes themselves were, they were absolutely stunning. Everyone in the office was surprised just how beautiful they were. It was as though she had reached straight into the game and plucked out the design. When it comes to flavor, my coworkers couldn't get enough. I was hoping there would be some cake the day after the event, which is usually the case in our office, but both were consumed within hours. Thank you so much!

This is the cutest little place for breakfast/brunch. Great service! Can get a little busy so if you really want the full experience, visit during non-peak hours.

"CENTERPIECE" - that's what comes to mind when we think about a word to describe the beautiful wedding cake that we received from Jackie of Sugar Salt & Crumbs!Did Jackie summon herself ethereally to the venue? Does she possess elven abilities to speak to flora and fauna? It's as if the forest summoned its culinary masters to gift us the perfectly baked cake. All hyperbole aside, our wedding venue was surrounded by forest trees and florals, so we wanted to work with someone that had an imaginative sensibility, to create something that was simple and elegant (we weren't looking for lavish), and blended well with an outdoor rustic theme. After some pleasant brainstorming calls with Jackie, who patiently took in the ambiguous and scattered ideas that we had floating in our heads, what we ultimately received on our wedding day, to put it simply... the cake of our dreams. If the cake stood alone on aesthetics, that would have been enough. But countless guests couldn't stop remarking on its unforgettable green tea and honey decadence. If this was a dessert available at anyone one of the fancy dessert and bakery shops around Los Angeles, I'm sure lines would follow. Thank you again to Sugar Salt & Crumbs, you've outdone yourself!

I was fortunate enough to have Sunflower House Bakes and Cakes cater the desserts for my last birthday party. Everyone was absolutely blown away. I attended their cake tasting that took place yesterday. All of the cake samples were to die for! I am often times skeptical in regards to vegan baked goods and SHB does them to perfection! I plan on recommending SHB to all of my friend hosting events, especially weddings. Keep up the good work!

My daughter's cake was done through Penelope and it was amazing. The cake turned out just like we described it, delivery was on time, and it tasted amazing. Very reasonably priced as well. Thank you!

Hello everyone I had to take time to give a review. Kathy was unbelievably awesome! No one would have done what she did for me! I ordered a cake with only 4 days to my event and she made it happen. Made adjustments to her schedule just to meet so I could give her the flowers I wanted. She tried her best to be flexible I can tell she's a genuine cater. very easy to communicate. Everything was through text so we had a little miscommunication about the drop off location. She delivered my cake personally.I took her a ton of fresh flowers and was even kind enough to ask what I wanted to do with the leftovers! She really puts in all effort into making your cake! Really enjoyed the chicken and cornbread pot pie! The Earl Grey pie was also really delicious! We enjoyed our dinner and look forward to going again soon!

I have been using Layer Cake Bakery for all our events for the last 6 years. My kids love finding cake designs for their birthdays each year. And each year I take their ideas to Liz at LCB and she always exceed my expectations! Pictured below is the cake they made for my daughter's birthday over the weekend. It did not only look amazing, it was yummy! We got Tres Leches for the top tier was really good. But our absolute favorite (and we always get) is the Devil's Chocolate! Hands down the BEST flavor of all! I highly recommend LCB for all your cake needs. It's not cheap, but it is soooo worth it!
