I am sold! My husband and I recently booked a massage with Bill at the Healing Team. It was one of the best massages we both recieved. Bill took the time to listen to our concerns regarding tight and sore muscles. He is very knowledgable and professional.Typically I would not choose a male massage therapist because I always chose a female so that I could be comfortable. To my surprise I was very comfortable and received a great massage. He made sure I was comfortable the whole time. We will definitely be booking our massages with Bill from now on.

This is place is wonderful. Everyone was so nice and professional from the doctors, nurses, CNAs, therapists all the way down to the cafeteria workers. The physical and occupational therapy is top-notch, couldn't have asked for better care. You don't want to have to go to this place, but if you have major injury that needs rehab, this is the one to go to. I was very impressed by everything. My week and a half stay was comfortable and productive. Highly recommend if you're in need of a rehabilitation hospital in the Denver area.

Dr. Ballard is a licensed professional counselor who graduated from the University of Denver’s APA accredited Counseling Psychology program with his Doctoral degree. He received his Bachelors degree from Georgetown University and his Masters from Denver Seminary. Dr. Ballard has worked for over ten years with adults, young adults, adolescents, and families in private practice, university counseling centers, outpatient clinics, and community mental health centers. His areas of specialty include anger management, anxiety and depression, substance use disorders, and relationship problems. Dr. Ballard works with individuals, groups, and families to help build better relationships and work through issues of conflict and trust. His philosophy of therapy is based on the belief that being disconnected from healthy, supportive relationships is the cause of almost all human problems. Dr. Ballard encourage clients to take charge of their lives by learning to understand their anger, forgive themselves and others, make better choices, and practice assertiveness instead of aggressiveness. In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Ballard is an Adjunct Professor of Counseling Psychology at both the University of Denver and Denver Seminary. He has presented at National conferences and has provided therapeutic training for educational staff in area public schools, for the Department of Human Services, and for a number of community mental health agencies. Topics presented include: “Violent and Aggressive Adolescents,” “The Grief and Loss Process,” Nonviolent Communication,” and “Working with Angry and Oppositional Students.” Michael is a published author of various workbooks, training manuals and articles, including his recent book, Take Control of Your Anger.
It is my mission–and not just my job–to help those who are hurting, to help teens get back on track, to help adults who are struggling with anger, anxiety, and depression, and to help families thrive again. I work collaboratively with my patients to create specific treatment goals, and then work towards them with support and accountability. As a Cognitive Behavioral Therapist, I believe that people can change, and that life can get better.
There is nothing more rewarding than helping people who are struggling, and I am so grateful that I have the opportunity to do this work.
As a licensed professional counselor, I’m thankful for the training I’ve received in how to work with adults, adolescents, and families. However, my journey to becoming a counselor started long before graduate school. I grew up in a family that dealt with many of these issues, and I’ve worked through some of them myself. So when I meet with people who are struggling, it’s more than simply a professional encounter for me. My clients often tell me that I “get it,” because frequently I can understand where they are coming from.
