Find a Tax Accountant in College Park

Where should I start?.....? First off I never felt so relaxed while having my taxes prepared! Ms. Street was very professional and was EXTREMELY knowledgeable!

My husband and I decided to hire an accountant for our taxes for the first time this year.  Our taxes were just complicated enough that we preferred to trust the details to an expert.  Uncertain of what to expect and who to choose, we did a lot of internet research and asked friends for recommendations.  In spite of the recommendations, we reached out to Steve and his firm because of a mailing we received offering a $50 discount--we love coupons.When I called in mid-January to make a consultation appointment, Steve was out of the office and I scheduled the appointment with the woman who answered the phone.  Steve could have seen us that week, but we pushed it off a week to better fit our schedule.  I loved that he was able to fit us in so quickly.  That evening, Steve called me.  At first I was worried the woman has made a scheduling conflict or something, but he just wanted to say hello and touch base.  Steve said he prefers to chat with all new clients.  This *really* won big points in my book for this firm.  I felt like he cared about us and our business.  This is very important to us.When we went in for the consultation, Steve was friendly, courteous and very knowledgeable.  He was able to answer all of our questions with specific details.  Since it was mid-January, we did not have all of our tax forms at that time, but he took what we had and we were able to send a password-protected scan of everything as it came in.  We only needed to make one visit to the office--which is a huge plus for me.Steve recommended we wait to file until mid-February as a lot of the tax software was still being updated for the tax year changes.  It worked out well as our final paperwork arrived to us mid-February.Once we submitted all the paperwork, accountants from the office asked several follow-up questions and requested several other pieces of paperwork.  At the time I was frustrated that it wasn't asked for up front, but now, a week later, I don't really care.  They did a great job, handled our semi-complicated tax year (wedding, house purchase, home rental loss, large amount of charitable giving) and got us a refund larger than we anticipated.  Overall, we are quite satisfied with both the professionalism and timeliness of this firm.
