For the past twenty years, Lynn Jaworski has taught social science for a nationally recognized northwest suburban high school district. During this time, she has worked with a variety of students at various academic levels. Her classroom instruction includes Advanced Placement, English Language Learners and prep level students. Mrs. Jaworski’s instructional techniques have not only been shared throughout her school district, but she also has presented at various professional workshops and conferences. She graduated with honors from the University of Illinois at Chicago with a B.A. in History and a minor in Secondary Education. She also holds two master degrees, one in History and the other in Educational Leadership from Northeastern Illinois University. In addition, her leadership extends well beyond the high school classroom. As a National Board Certified educator, Mrs. Jaworski is currently responsible for coordinating the school district’s gifted program. In her role as coordinator, she was instrumental in redesigning and implementing the inaugural summer enrichment program for the gifted population across the district. Her previous work also includes supervision and evaluation of student teachers for the University of Illinois at Champaign. In this role, she created and implemented weekly seminars for novice educators while also hosting lunch and learn workshops for cooperating teachers throughout the district.
I truly enjoy working with both students and adults. Over the past 20 years, I have been fortunate to work with students of all ages. I am passionate about educating others, regardless of the subject matter.
I have always been passionate about travel. I knew at a young age that I wanted to share these experiences with others, teaching students about various cultures and countries around the globe. I am fortunate to have travelled extensively around the world, totaling over 30 countries. As a veteran educator, I continue to incorporate these experiences into my tutoring sessions for both students and adults.
I would be cautious when hiring non certified educators. Anyone can offer tutoring services, but do these individuals maintain the proper qualifications and certifications to do so? Would you see a doctor or an accountant that did not have the proper training and certifications to assist you with your health or taxes? With so many options available, it is important to be selective with who you hire. I have earned the highest certification possible as a Nationally Board Certified teacher. I am also a current educator in the classroom each day. I understand the challenges students encounter when learning new material.
