As wedding photographers we capture real life moments happening before our eyes. Tears falling as your mom gently whisks them away during your ceremony. Your first dance with your father, no longer taking his last name, but always his little girl. The quiet moments with your grandma as she shakily holds your hand, telling you how happy she is that you've met your person. Yes- we fluff veils, guide the flower girls down the aisle, rearrange furniture for your portraits, but we also capture real life.

From start to finish Nico did an incredible job. He made us feel so comfortable and we had a blast with him from our 6am sunrise engagement shoot to the last shot of the night at our wedding. He is so professional, passionate, and is one of the hardest workers I’ve ever seen (yet he made it look easy)! ...We didn’t know how he was in 5 places at once but he was EVERYWHERE directing us and taking gorgeous shots the entire day and night. We are so grateful and glad we made the right choice!

Crystal did great with our family of 6. She was patient with the 4 kids and worked to get them all paying attention to the camera. She did great incorporating nature into our photos and worked hard to quickly get the photos just the way we wanted. She even went out of her way to capture our baby at another time due to him falling asleep. Crystal is simply fun and great at what she does :)

Kathleen did an incredible job capturing photos for my son's 1st Birthday Cake Smash! I could not have been happier with the images that she was able to capture, as taking photos of a 1 year old is not easy! She was patient and willing to be silly along with me to get my son to enjoy the session from beginning to end :)

I am a creative person who enjoys snapping photos. Part of being a good photographer is listening to what my client wants, and then finding a creative way to accomplish it! I enjoy helping my clients relax and have fun during a photo shoot which result in natural expressions. My goal is to help clients look their best and feel comfortable in front of the camera. I have a background in teaching dance and modeling that helps me to give easy instruction on posing and posture. I spend time talking with each client by email, phone or personal meeting before their shoot asking questions about their expectations, and learning a little bit about them. My specialty is creating photos that show personality. Sometimes that means finding a great location, other times it means including creative props or pets. To answer you thru this service, I must pay a fee. You can contact me directly at janndenlingerphotographygmail.com. Each client is different, and I enjoy helping to create unique portraits! My portrait fee includes my time, an on-site photo session, editing of all images and a private online photo gallery. I don’t promise a certain amount of photos. I will post all of the photos that I feel turned out well. I do not offer "packages" with a certain number or size of photos you must purchase. You can order any number of prints and download digital files directly from my website at reasonable prices. I use a professional printing service that provides heirloom quality photos, which are of a much higher quality than what you can get printed locally or online. I am happy to answer any questions you may have!
I really like what I do! Taking portraits that show personality lets me use my creativity along with my photographic skills. For example when I take family portraits, I may encourage my clients to include something that has meaning to them in the photo. Perhaps a family blanket, or grandma's jewelry. Getting to know my client, and helping to capture them in a way that shows who they are is what makes my job so much fun!
Think about asking a photographer about a previous experience that is similar to what you are looking for. Listen to their answer, but listen more closely to their attitude!
I recently donated a gift certificate to a youth auction for a photo session. A woman purchased the certificate. She asked if I could take a group photo of her family. It turns out that she has four married children, many many grandchildren, and even a few great grandchildren! After chatting with her for a while, we decided it might be best to have each of the families dress in a particular color. Then when people looked at the photo, they could tell who was in each family. The photo turned out great! I even did individual photos of each of her childrens' families. That was a great day with lots of laughs and plenty of smiling faces! I have met so many wonderful people and gone to many beautiful places when snapping photos for my clients! I really like what I do!
Back in the days of film, I was busy learning about composition, backgrounds and lighting by taking tons of photos of my children. Then I went digital and spent many years taking photos of teenagers in our youth group as I learned about aperture and shutter speed to get those action shots. After many years of taking photos for family, friends and seniors, (and getting paid with chocolate chip cookies), I decided to start by own business. I learned how to use photoshop and took some professional photography classes. I have finally found a job that I really enjoy!
I really do enjoy snapping photos for my clients, and have many years of experience. I strive to understand what my client is looking for, and then I enjoy finding a creative way to accomplish it!
