If it’s for a wedding, we email out the questionnaire prior to our wedding consult. This helps us gather all information beforehand, so that we can help our clients understand the coverage they will need for their big day!
Questions are always based on the type of session or event that will be taking place.
For instance, we need to know the client’s due date if it will be a maternity or newborn session.
For weddings, we need to know wedding dates and venue locations, and where the couple will be getting ready so we can cover the before ceremony pictures.
For family sessions, how many children will be in the session, if any, and what are their ages. By knowing how many children will be in the session and their ages, this will help us to know how much time we will need to spend with each family. Children are unpredictable so we always try to be flexible. We want the children to be having fun, because let’s face it, when they are having fun, mom and dad are more relaxed and it makes for a stress-free session. Our photographer has even been known to play hide and seek with the kids, all while capturing them peeking around the corner of a tree. Those images make great candid portraits, and our clients love them!

We are a husband and wife team. We both had the experience of photography, designing, and business management between the two of us, so we couldn’t understand why we didn’t start our business sooner. Our sessions are either done outdoors at the client’s preferred location or we recommend some of our favorites, or we do the sessions indoors at our client’s home.
