IL
I am a professionally qualified photographer based in Illinois I specialise in real estate, architectural, commercial, landscape and travel photography. I help architects, contractors, developers and building owners get the photos they need. I have spent well over 25 years learning and enjoying my photography. I only work on bespoke commissions. I only photograph buildings, nice places and buildings in nice places. I have a good eye for a picture. Well you would hope so! You are not just hiring someone holding a camera when you hire me - you are hiring me, my personality and my experience. And my camera and all that other stuff of course! But most of all a lifetime of experience in photography.
I am a firm believer that there is no such thing as a “good” photo (people will have an opinion one way or the other), I do have a handful of go-to tips and tricks that I turn to, especially when in doubt. These aren’t rules per se—more guidelines that you can follow when taking photos of your home—a framework within in which you can move around, experiment, and have fun. The great thing about these “rules” is that they are applicable to almost any situation and level of photography.
Most cameras today (whether they are top-of-the-line or bottom-shelf) come with manual settings and options for advanced shooting. To follow along with these rules, you only need three things: a camera (make sure you have read its manual), a tripod, and a standard photo editing software. Whether your photos are “good” or “bad” is simply up to you,
When booking let me know what to expect when I arrive and what your home is like.
My job is to use my experience, knowledge and expertise to get you the images you want. It really is that simple. On that point, please feel free to browse the various pages on my website. I won’t bore you with me telling you how good I am at taking pictures – all the images on my website are my own, and are my living portfolio.

I will however tell you that I have well-practiced image capture and processing workflows, which allow me to produce images consistently and in my own style. So, if you like the look of my images, get in touch and let’s see what we can come up with between us.
Photography is universal language to speak to te heart. Today, photography captures the most breathtaking, abstract, and unique moments. As an art form, photography is both emotionally provoking and visually stimulating. A photographer invites its viewers to connect to their work as they tell a story or work to elicit a certain response.
“Whatever you can do, or dream you can, begin it.” -Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
The first thing I did when I decided to become a photographer was to get business cards printed that said Barbara Gasior PHOTOGRAPHER. Even if I wasn’t 100% convinced I was ready or good enough the simple act of printing cards made it real to me.
I started out with a basic SLR camera and a cheap zoom I borrowed from my friend. I photographed only in daylight for the first 2 years because I could not afford flash gear and worked hand held because I also could not afford a tripod.
