Our extended family of 25 (6 families total) took a trip to Kauai. While we were there we wanted to have professional pictures taken. Dana was awesome to work with. He spent several hours with us at Anini Beach taking shots of the whole group and individual families. There were several photo packages available. The one we selected was a digital copy of each print. The pictures turned out awesome and we received hundreds of pictures!
I would highly recommend him for your pictures.

We would highly recommend Hanalei Family Photo! We did a family session with James during our vacation and couldn’t be happier with the entire experience. Communication was excellent and the photo shoot itself very relaxed - which was great since we have two little girls who weren't overly focused a lot of the time :) We ended up with many beautiful photos that we absolutely love.

From the initial communication to the actual execution of the wedding, Fern and Quinn were outstanding. We had a pretty large group on the beach and I had quite a few requests in terms of setup, but they were very accommodating and incorporated everything! They also did a rehearsal for us (optional with an extra charge), which I recommend to anyone with a mid to large size group since it makes things smoother on the day of. The florist they work with and dove release also was great. Overall, I would recommend them to anyone getting married on Kauai!!!

A wonderful garden on the North shore that offers educational yet relaxing tours for all ages. Why do this tour?First of all, the garden is beautiful. Â I've been to the San Francisco botanical garden, the Washington DC botanical garden, the famous Dutch tulip fields of Keukenhof and numerous others in Asia and this might just be my favorite. Â Let's face it, it's hard to beat walking through a beautiful garden built on one of the most beautiful islands on earth.Secondly, Jason (the guide) is awesome. Â He's very knowledgeable and articulate. Â His non-botany background probably also helps him from avoiding being the professorial type who can drag on and on using more than four Latin words in a sentence (my personal threshold). He also stops and listens to every question and has no problem saying 'I do not know' or 'my personal guess would be ...'You will learn about how the noni fruit smells like rotten cheese ('nose-on', obviously!) and what's the difference between 'indigenous' and 'endemic' .. but I promise you won't feel lectured. Finally, they're smart about adding samplers of tropical fruits and chocolate. Â This creates small breaks throughout the walks and helps you to sustain the pace throughout the 3-hr walkThere are some steep steps that you need to climb at one point of the walk but nothing too bad. Â We had people of all ages on our tour and everyone managed. So, why not give them all 5 stars? Â Well at $40 per adult this isn't a necessarily cheap activity to take the whole family to. Â Don't get me wrong, it's still worth the money but to get 5 you need to offer great value for money.Overall, a great place ... you should go when you're on the North shore!
