Miles does great work and he has the best turn-around time on his images in the business. He has a drone for aerial shots and is very good for real estate photography. He is easy to work with and will get the job done on time. I always recommend Miles to my family and friends. If you are looking for someone to do real estate photography he is the man! Thanks Miles!

This is the 2nd yr we've used Shawna for our family photos. She is wonderful to work with & extremely patient especially with our son who has high functioning Autism. I recommend her to all. She gives you tons of options, takes a lot of photos for us to choose from & never do you feel rushed during your session. She is amazing!!!

- LIFESTYLE Photography for tourism bureaus, hospitals, restaurants, shopping centers, magazines and other businesses - FOOD Photography for restaurants, caterers, wholesale food distributors, magazines - HEADSHOTS (corporate, LinkedIn, actor, and more) - FITNESS (indoor gyms and outdoor lifestyle) I specialize in lifestyle, food and product photography for tourism bureaus, businesses, hospitals and more. In addition, I also do corporate headshots. Some of my clients include Folsom Tourism Bureau, Gold County Tourism, Vacaville Premium Outlets, Style Magazine, Marshall Medical Hospital and various small businesses such as law offices, restaurants, realtors and more. I use both natural and artificial light such as studio strobes, monolights and off-camera flashes. I also have the ability to shoot tethered to either a laptop or iPad so clients can review images as they are being shot.
Lighting and composition are important in creating a good photograph. However, one has to understand the product and/or person. For example, if it's a product or place of business, who is the intended audience and what sets the product/business apart from others that are similar. The photographer needs to ensure that that facet is emphasized in the photos. The photographer must also understand what mood the client is trying to create and what story they want to tell. When working with people, the photographer has to make the subject feel comfortable in front of the camera and draw out expressions that the subject will love!
Tell me about the product and what you want to highlight, the demographics, the look and feel you want, how and where will the photos be used, have you done a project similar to this before, who is your competition, how did you find out about me, is there an image or a number of images that you saw on my website that you liked, do you have a mood board, who's the creative team and who's making the final decision, how long is the job, what is your turnaround time?
The best part of my job is meeting people that I would have not ordinarily met and discovering new places. I also love capturing real moments and telling stories that evoke emotion as well as making a difference in the lives of animals.
The minute my daughter was born I picked up a camera so that I could document her life. It's been 18 years since that time. Even today, I still love storytelling which I feel is a consistent thread throughout my images. In 2010 I received a call from the editor of a newspaper asking if I would freelance for them. Photojournalism was was fast paced and exciting which I absolutely loved. While at the newspaper, a tourism bureau saw my photos and hired me to photograph numerous events for them and loved that I was able to capture the vibe of the venue. Clients use my photos to tell their stories, advertise their products, increase tourism, showcase what they've poured their life savings into and more.
My educational background is in marketing, so understanding that a client needs a distinct look and feel, storytelling ability and quality to their photos to market to THEIR client is key. Before any project, I gather as much information as possible to understand what the client wants and doesn't want, the target market they're trying to reach and the overall look they want to achieve.
