What’s your experience?

I started as a pet groomer when I first got my own dogs, Poppy and Woolf, and began to trim their coats myself. When I decided to launch my own pet grooming business, I knew I had to be qualified by a recognised authority. Pet owners want to be reassured that you know what you’re doing when they put their pet in your hands. I became a member of the British Dog Groomers’ Association (BDGA), which gives me a BDGA badge, access to training and events, as well as insurance.

What will you do if my pet is nervous?

It’s quite normal for some pets to get nervous when being groomed, especially if a dryer is being used in the treatment. Smaller breeds of dogs and some breeds of cats can be particularly prone to getting nervous or scared, and we do our best to calm the pet down and reassure them. If needs be, we can adjust the treatment to prevent them from becoming any more distressed, such as using a standing dryer instead of a hand dryer.

Will the treatment be at my house?

We operate a mobile pet grooming service, so normally we come to the owner’s house to perform the treatment. This often works better as it means that the pets are in a familiar environment, which can help them relax during the treatment. It can also make fitting in a treatment easier for families that are extremely busy and cannot make it to a pet spa.

Wonderful experience. All 3 of my dogs never looked better. Will definitely have them back!’

I was in the middle of switching groomers when Marco came to me as a referral. The communication I had with Marco was pleasant and professional, he came on time on a Saturday morning, and the spavan where the grooming took place was clean. My dog Bailey is no princess but she is an important member of my family and he took great care of her. Thanks, Marco!!

It was easy. This was my first time working with Marco. He was great! Ranger, my 17-month-old labrador, was hesitant to get started, but Marco did a fantastic job of earning Ranger’s trust. The finished result was as expected. Ranger looks marvelous.
