Really fun and relaxing way to spend an evening. Instructors make it easy to follow along and create something nice, even if you are new to painting. As a homeowner, I've been painting parts of my house for years, but it has been at least a decade since I painted in an art class setting. We booked a class in advance (make sure to sign up for their email so you can get coupons/discounts!), and showed up a few minutes early. You can get a drink/snack, put on an apron and get settled in. There are different paintings featured in each class (check the online schedule), and the brushes and paint you will need is already set out in front of the canvas. The instructor introduced herself, and over the next 3 hours, went over each step. For instance, we painted the sky, then the ground, then clouds, etc. Sometimes we'd take a break and let the canvas dry for a few minutes so we could sketch in the next part with chalk. We went through each step of the process slowly, so there is little guesswork. It was cool to see how each person in the class painted a little different, and you are free to add your own touches. There 's a few employees on hand to refill your paint (or wine!) if needed, and the instructor will walk around and give you advice if you like.It was very fun and I was pretty happy with the end result. I do wish I'd spaced out my time differently - you need to look at the final painting and realize there's no need to perfect the background sky, if I'm just going to paint over it with the next step.It did feel a little rushed at the end, although this might be a good thing for us perfectionists as it forces us to complete the painting and not keep going over the details (seriously I could have sat there for another hour adding and touching up, etc).Make sure to wear older clothes - you do get an apron to borrow but paint doesn't come out easily. You can also book this place for private parties and workplace events. They also have "free paint" a few times a month for a lower price where you can use their supplies and space. I'll definitely be back.
