Kristin did an excellent job helping me design my space in my historic building. She listened to my ideas and took it to a higher level. The space was fun and bright and just what I wanted. I just could not get there alone. Kristin is efficient with time which I like and works to both our potentials. Ready to start the next project with Anna Gray Design.
Warmly,

Steve has worked with me on four projects in the past year (2016-17). To each project he has brought energy, thoughtfulness, and more importantly initiative. He has made creative suggestions which enhanced the finished product and were in line with my budget limitations. Steve is reliable, industrious - he is a very fast worker, and thorough. When he is finished even in mid project, the site is tidy, tools are put away and the area looks ready for the next step. Steve's knowledge of plants, bedding materials, and design are great. I highly recommend him for any landscape project.

We have worked in hundreds of homes from million-dollar mansions to humble cottages. All get the same service and quality craftsmanship….not to mention good MANNERS. We do beautiful work and have changed the definition and standard for house painting services in Austin.

I have worked with many paint contractors through the years and I am so happy to have heard about Barton Springs Painting. Jeff and his team are at the top of my list. In our initial meeting with Jeff, he described his process and immediately we felt confident that he was committed to the highest quality work. My wife and I have found that some painters don't take the time to properly prep the house for painting which can severely compromise the durability of the paint. Jeff's prep work on the exterior of the house was impeccable and the finished product was beautiful! I'm confident the paint job will last as long as Texas weather will allow!Jeff is totally professional and great to work with - he is extremely polite, great at communication and committed to making sure his clients get the highest quality service and product. Â We will definitely be using Jeff anytime we have painting that needs to be done!

GARSC was awesome! The supervisor Johnny came to our home this week in Driftwood and I had a great experience. He easily knocked out a honey do list (hung heavy pictures and baby proofed our bathrooms). He was nice, easy to direct, and pretty efficient. I highly recommend GARSC for any handyman-type projects! I will be using them again.

[For whatever reason, I ramble when I'm excited about things. Â If you like, skip to the end for the brief....]As can be told from some of my other reviews here on Yelp, my wife and I just bought a home. Â We desperately wanted the entire interior painted, as it looked like Pig-Pen from Charlie Brown rolled around the walls while Michael J. Fox tried to paint straight edges at the trim and ceiling. We accepted three bids: one from the highest rated painter on Citysearch; one from a friend-recommended painter who still does hand-written estimates and doesn't understand this new fandangled "email"; and one from Michael at Capital City Paint & Restore. Â I should note that my wife and I had very good feelings about all three of these painters. Â While painting an entire interior is costly, Michael's bid for more work than was requested of the other two (kitchen ceiling, all walls at two colors / two coats, all closets and all trim), he actually came in lowest!I'll be honest...I gave him a hard time at the beginning, including a two page typed list of what I expect of a painter and explaining in detail what would not fly regarding edges and lines. Â He laughed, told me that he understood that I had high expectations, and then explained his methods and process. Â These were better and more thorough than what I had asked of him, and he won me over.Good: Michael is young but highly intelligent, uses quality products and paint/trim methods (e.g. tape and caulk, removal of cover plates, and brushing rather than spraying), and enunciates better than any English teacher in the south. Â I also like that he was at the house the entire week painting and supervising rather than *hoping* that his men's standards were up to his own.Bad: One of the men on the job left a sweating cup on a wood table which left a slight ring. Â Michael exchanged words with him about his "quality" of work; and as of Thursday, this man is no longer a member of Michael's crew.I had problems trusting many of the painters on this site (...did you REALLY get seven 5-star reviews in a week?!), but I'm proud to have now added this detail-oriented and reasonably priced painter to Yelp for your consideration.*** Update (10/28/2009):After my wife and I were so impressed with how the interior turned out, we commissioned Michael to paint the exterior trim and sand/stain our sun-bleached door. Â I compared his quote, and he was $600 to $1,000 less expensive than the other two bids that I had from those painters I mentioned above. Â The trim looks great, and I inspected the lines *very* carefully after my co-worker mentioned that painting trim is a p.i.t.a. to do cleanly and correctly. Â Michael is the first person that I've written a review for that I can confidently say that I trust. Â Thanks again!
