Hello, I'm Donna. Thank you for checking out my profile. I have been serving clients in the holistic health industry since 2002. First, as a massage therapist specializing in Medical, Sports, and Corporate Massage, as my practice grew, I became certified by ACE as a personal trainer to address clients' needs who were asking for more advice regarding specific exercises and stretching. Then I started to see how chronic stress was affecting clients on a personal and professional level, so I went back to school and added yet another certification to my toolkit to address these issues from a holistic point of view. As a mind/body coach, I bring unique experiences to the table. For example, from my massage and bodywork experience, I have seen firsthand how long-term stress affects the body when one is under pressure and doesn't know healthy ways to address it. As a coach, I can offer specific self-care and stress management tools to reduce that tension and show you how to handle it before it becomes an issue. Secondly, it seems like many people, from students to seasoned professionals, are in a state of flux, feeling stuck or lost and lacking a routine right now. They are looking for a coach to help them adopt healthier ways to balance life, improve positive habits, or find their life's purpose. My approach, in this case, is quite simple and sometimes old school - we start with your goals, what's worked, what hasn't, and then begin to flush out your natural gifts and identify what is holding you back or what you need to let go of to move forward. Often the answer lies within. However, we sometimes look for an objective coach or mentor to help us bring those answers to the surface because we are so busy or dealing with life issues. I know this profile may seem a little wordy, but hopefully, you will get a sense of my experience and philosophy to decide if we might be a good fit. When talking with potential clients, I'm looking for people who have a sense of what they want to accomplish and can articulate it. As you know, each coach and mentor has their own approach, so finding one that you resonate with can make all the difference in the world. My approach includes communication and dialogue, helping you increase your awareness while empowering you to find your purpose and befriend the body you live in so it can support you healthily as you age. I typically coach between 10-15 clients at a time, so I take time to ensure we are a good fit before taking on new clients. Then, depending on the client's goals, we can sometimes address those in a few short sessions, while others may take longer to accomplish.
My job is more of a vocation than a job. I love working with people from all backgrounds and ages, seeking healthier ways to address stress and balance life. I specialize in holistic health, wellness, stress management, and self-care because once you can identify what is causing the tension and positive ways to address it, the rest falls into place. By making the shift, the other parts of our lives improve.
Initially, I was inspired to start my practice 20 years ago after my dad's first stroke. Boy, what a wake-up call that was. And wanted to find positive ways to help men, business owners, and active type-A professionals manage stress, so they didn't experience the same thing. However, as time progresses, it's even more evident that we need to find better ways to address these issues to enjoy our life as we age.
I align best with those who appreciate a coach who serves as a coach, mentor, and partner in their journey. I have combined my corporate and teaching experience with my 20 years in health and wellness. The mind/body approach is very holistic. My services would benefit clients who want to explore healthier ways to improve their relationships, health, spiritual life, or work-life balance.
Services are available in person or remotely via Zoom or phone. We can discuss preferences during our initial contact.
