In 2016, I lost my husband of 18 years to a car accident. Over night, I was thrown into Single Motherhood. I had (3) bright, beautiful, and busy kids.
I was lost. I had never anticipated being a single parent, all on my own. It was scary. I found myself, wearing a mask of bravery/strength all day, only to collapse, after the kids went to sleep. This went on for over a year, until my body gave out - I had to make some changes.
I sold my house. Moved to the coast. Took a year off work, and dedicated myself to being present with my grief, enjoying my children, spending much less...and learning to cook. =)
It was during this time, I started a Single Mothers ministry - out of necessity - for friends and emotional support. We met weekly. Had group chats. Video calls. Dinners. I found that many single mothers had similar struggles that I had faced. I started mentoring the single mothers, individually. And within the next year, many had progressed in certain areas of their lives - relationship, spiritually, financially, etc.
During the lockdown of 2020, I decided to get certified in Life Coaching, Pastoral Counseling and the Enneagram. I spent the next (6) months, coaching face to face clients from many backgrounds to sharpen my skills.
I am now embarking on a new season - Online Coaching. I am excited and ready to see how it unfolds.
